Actor Shahid Kapoor brought in his father Pankaj Kapur’s 60th birthday at a nightclub in Juhu on Wednesday. To mark the occasion, Shahid gifted the actor-filmmaker a Mercedes car.

When asked, Pankaj Kapur confirmed the news. “Yes, it’s true that my son has gifted me a car. I am happy that my family came together to celebrate my birthday in a big way. It was great to be in the loving company of my family and friends.” And while Shahid went all out by gifting him a luxury vehicle, wife Supriya Pathak has apparently gifted him a whole lot of items. “I don’t what to reveal what these things are, but I can tell you that she gave me everything I could have asked for. I got a total of 153 gifts from her,” he said.

Many of Shahid’s friends and colleagues were present at the bash including alleged ex-girlfriend Vidya Balan and actress Dia Mirza. This apart, filmmakers Sudhir Mishra and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and Naseeruddin Shah’s sons Vivaan and Imaad were also in attendance.
