He’s known to be reticent and seldom interacts with the press or his fans. But after stating, “I am only an actor. I don’t know anything about technology,” at the music launch of Kochadaiyaan, Rajinikanth has now decided to dabble in social networking.

 The southern superstar will soon be active on the social micro-blogging website Twitter. His handle and his first tweet have already been planned.

 The officials have convinced Rajinikanth to tweet starting this week. His fanpages on the microblogging sites already have thousands of followers.

Ashish Joshi, VP Digital and Business Head of Fluence, the company handling the actor’s social media presence, said: “Yes, Rajinikanth will be making his social media debut. We will soon make a formal announcement.”

 It is the same company that manages Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s social media presence as well.
