Morning shows of the film, Mastram, were cancelled across the city. Apparently, the film wasn’t screened at any cinema hall before Friday noon. Ironically, ticket portal, Book My Show, was said to be accepting ticket bookings for the morning show, despite the cancellation.
A moviegoer, who went to catch the first show of the film at Movie Time in Matunga, laments, “I wanted to watch the film in the morning. But when I came to the theatre to buy the tickets, I was told about the morning shows getting cancelled.”
Sunil Bohra, the film’s producer, said, “We got our certificate from the Censor Board quite late last night, so the film’s print couldn’t reach theatres in time for the morning shows.” He added that audiences who had bought tickets for the morning shows will be reimbursed. However, at the time of going to press, no refunds for the morning shows had been made.
