GODZILLA grossed around 23.50 crore nett in its first week in India which is below expectations as the 20-25 crore nett is the weekend range for a big budget Hollywood release.

The weekend was fair but the weekdays did see the drops which is the case for most Hollywood releases. The film has done fantastically well in its domestic market and may even be the highest grosser of the year in US and is sure to beat THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.

In India its a different story as business will stay well below THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 but it should become the second highest grosser of the year edging out 300 - RISE OF AN EMPIRE which did around 30 crore nett. GODZILLA has X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST for competition this week which will mean a sizeable drop.
