WILL TIGER TASTE SUCCESS WITH HIS FIRST FILM?

Tiger Shroff has been much in news since a couple of years, especially after there were reports that Aamir Khan has backed him and might launch him. However, it’s Sajid Nadiadwala who finally took the initiative. Tiger’s debut venture, Heropanti, is all set to release tomorrow and if trade experts are to believe, the film can take a good opening despite the challenges that it faces.

Heropanti’s trailer was out in the first week of April 2014 and got mixed response. While a section of audience was impressed with the action and Tiger’s screen presence, the rest weren’t impressed. Tiger was found too odd to be a leading actor while the content of the film also got thumbs down as it seemed like a beaten-to-death kind of a plot. In fact, Tiger became the butt of jokes and he even trended on Twitter for the same. However, the marketing of the film was superb which ensured that the film is not only being talked about, but there’s a positive buzz around it as well. The songs too added to the excitement, especially Whistle Baja, which caught on quite well. Tiger showing off his action moves and even going shirtless to exhibit his six-pack abs grabbed eyeballs. Not only Tiger, his co-star Kriti Sanon too attracted attention. That Tiger hasn’t used cables to do the difficult action scenes is seen as a major plus point of the film. Hence, it might be cool to witness Tiger performing action on his own without any aid.

Yet, Heropanti faces challenges. As mentioned above, a section of audience is not interested to see the film. If the word of mouth is negative, it can prove detrimental. Lastly, it faces stiff competition as it releases with the Hollywood biggie X Men: Days Of The Future Past. Hence, a huge opening is ruled out but a decent-to-good Day 1 if possible. This is especially in mass belts, where such films fare well. The budget is reasonable and if all goes well, Heropanti will prove to be a profitable venture for the makers!
