GODZILLA had a good first day as it grossed around 4.5-5 crore nett
but was let down by business in single screens and mass pockets as the
the English version in 3D had far better collections. But to get a real
big grosser you need the dubbed versions to perform better.
The first day was on par with a film like MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4 and the sixth or seventh highest opening day collection for a Hollywood film. The record stands at 7.5 crore nett approx for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 released a couple of weeks back.
The business of GODZILLA may also have been affected by the limited marketing which meant less awareness. There has been an increase in marketing for Hollywood releases in india over the last few years as seen with the SPIDER-MAN films, IRON MAN 3 and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4.

THE XPOSE started slowly but did improve a little at places and the first day finished at a level where it can do decent lifetime business if it improves further on Saturday and Sunday.
The film has better business in areas like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan while although the city multiplexes did pick up the business remained low. The first day collection of the film are around 2-2.25 crore nett with Mumbai circuit giving a 45-50% contribution as it grossed around 90 lakhs nett.
The key for the film is Saturday growth if the film can show an upturn of around 50% it can put up a decent weekend and a respectable final tally according to its costs.
