Ajay Devgn to produce another action thriller

Ajay Devgn, in a bid to diversify his production company, Ajay Devgn Films's portfolio, has roped in writer-director Ashwini Chaudhary, who last directed Bipasha Basu and R Madhavan in the 2012 rom-com Jodi Breakers.

The script, an original and not a South remake, will be locked soon and the film will roll by the yearend.

Ashwini confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, I am directing a film for Ajay's banner. I've known Ajay for years. I was the chief assistant director on his film Dil Kya Kare. We've never worked together after that but always stayed in touch. We often brainstormed. Recently, he really liked one of my ideas and we decided to collaborate."

Given the fact that Ajay has featured in all his home productions will he also play the lead in Ashwini's next?

"It's too early to comment on this," said Ashwini. "I'll have clarity on the casting only by next month when Ajay reads the finished script. Everything will depend on how it has shaped up. He'll take a call then on whether he wants to play the lead or rope in another hero."
