The entire unit reached Patiala one week before the shoot started. They lived in Dimpy's (played by Kriti Sanon) house, around which a large part of the film is shot. They wore their costumes in the film and read scenes together, to bond.
From Patiala, the shoot shifted to Delhi where Sabbir Khan shot with Tiger Shroff and Kriti in real locations like Chandni Chowk. They also shot in and around the bustling streets of the Jama Masjid.
When the unit in Kashmir moved from Gulmarg to Pahalgam, the locals thronged the location with food and kangdis (hot earthen pot to keep warm). They just wanted a glimpse of Jackie Shroff 's son.
Tiger has performed all his action scenes himself, without the help of any body double or cables/wire-work. His real life skills as a gymnast were used to customise the action sequences.
In the very first action sequence, Tiger accidently hurt a stuntman, who mistimed his approach. He ended up with a broken jaw and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Only when the stunt artiste admitted to Tiger that it was his own mistake, did the actor resume shoot.
For an intensely emotional scene between Kriti and her onscreen father, Sabbir gave the actress no time to prepare. He simply asked her to reach the set and get ready for the shot as he didn't want a rehearsed performance.
Heropanti, produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd and UTV Motion Pictures, releases May 23.
