It’s been just a week since his second film, Main Tera Hero hit theatres and it seems Varun Dhawan is already on a roll. He has Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Sriram Raghavan’s next, and also a film to be directed by his brother Rohit, which co-stars John Abraham, on his plate—and now the buzz is that this Karan Johar protégé is all set to ink a multi-film deal with Balaji Motion Pictures who produced Main Tera Hero.
“Ekta was extremely impressed with Varun’s work. She was quite happy with the way their association shaped up and it only made sense that they took it further,” said a source close to the development.
Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, said, “Varun is among the brightest young stars and Main Tera Hero has been a terrific experience. There is a definite plan to work together again on various projects.” When prodded on the genres of the films offered to Varun and whether his father David Dhawan was likely to wield the megaphone again for them, he said, “It’s too early to divulge any details.”
Mirror has it that Ekta is celebrating the twin success of Ragini MMS 2 and Main Tera Hero with a big bash at her Juhu bungalow tonight.
