Rajinikanth once again proved why he is above all, just like his characters onscreen. The superstar was the first person to cast his vote at his polling station on Thursday, when Tamil Nadu went to vote.

Dressed in a white shirt and off-white dhoti, he quietly walked in to the Stella Maris College polling station in Chennai at 7 am and stepped out after casting his vote, much to the pleasant surprise of a few people who had turned up to cast their vote.

Despite keeping his distance from politics, several top leaders had paid Rajinikanth visits during their election campaigns, at the same time maintaining that it had nothing to do with politics.

Like Rajinikanth, Ulaganayakan Kamal Hassan and Gauthami were also among the early voters. The couple flashed their ink-marked fingers after casting their vote.
