After walking the ramp for some of the top Indian as well as international designers, former supermodel Dipannita Sharma has now forayed into script-writing.

 Mirror has learnt that she is working on a movie script that aims to tell the story of the fashion industry from an insider’s point of view.

 A friend of the model said: "She was approached by a publishing house to write a book on the world of fashion, but instead decided to write a screenplay."

 When contacted, Dipannita confirmed the news. "With this project, I want to bust the stereotypes associated with this industry. Having seen it first hand, I think I’d be able to put things in the right perspective," she said, adding "All models are not dope heads. Health is priority for most and they work hard not only to achieve it but also to maintain it. Films like Fashion only reinforce popular myths by giving a lopsided view. This needs to change."

 According to Dipannita she is in advance talks with a few producers. "We should have a director on board by the end of this year," she said.
