RIO 2 is entertaining, colourful and vibrant. However, part 1 was definitely better. Part 2 has its share of humour but there could have been more of it. I missed the charm of the city of Rio which ideally should have been there since the film is titled after the city! Also, Blu-Jewel’s kids, Rico, Pedro and Nafael hardly have anything to do in the film. Most creatures shown in animated films are cute but Gabi the frog in RIO 2 is damn irritating! On the positive side, the animation is brilliant and the Amazon setting also makes for a great watch. And Blu is a delightful character especially the manner in which he finds it difficult to adjust to the jungle surroundings. Definitely a one-time watch and that too for the whole family!
