It is being said that Raj Mehta, who headed the production house, Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd, recently had a spat with one of the financers of his firm. If sources are to be believed, tempers in this firm have been running high due to its unsettled finances.

Says a source, “There is extreme discontent among the financers who have worked with Ashtavinayak.
Recently, an ugly scuffle broke out between Raj Mehta and one of the firm’s financers over settlement of dues.” The source adds, “The firm has had some big hits such as Bol Bachchan and the Golmaal franchise, but then again, they also incurred losses when some other films failed at the box office. The owners then ran into legal and financial trouble with a bank resulting in Ashtavinayak shutting shop.

This led to further problems with payments. Matters seem to have come to a head when an angry financer recently caught hold of Raj Mehta.”

Mehta remained unavailable for comment.
