If sources are to be believed, Deepika Padukone, who stars in Kochadaiiyaan, was about to give the film’s music launch a miss. But superstar Rajnikanth has ensured that this doesn’t happen. A source says, “Deepika was keen to attend the film’s music launch as it is the first promotional event of her much talked about film with Rajini. But with another work commitment lined up on the same day, she was not sure about making it to Chennai for the event. When she realised that her prior appointment couldn’t be pushed to another day, she was all set to cancel her trip to Chennai.”

However, when Rajnikanth got word of Deepika’s dilemma, he apparently had his team sort out the issue. “Since Deepika is a prominent character in the film, he and his team decided to go out of their way to have her attend the music launch. The superstar made his team arrange for a chartered flight for her. She will fly to Chennai on Sunday morning for the music launch and will be ferried back to Mumbai on the same day.”
The film’s official spokesperson confirmed the news.
