Dishkiyaoon sound designer Nimish Chheda dies at 35

Nimish Chheda, a wellknown name in the Marathi and Hindi film industry, passed away on February 28. The 35-year-old sound designer is survived by wife Yagna and 15-month old daughter Saira. On February 17, Nimish, who was working on Dishkiyaoon and has done projects like Kaminey, Saawariya and 24 (TV Series) was driving back home when his car hit a dumper near the Kherwadi signal. He lost control and the car crashed into a divider. Nimish was rushed to Raheja Hospital, Mahim, but his condition remained critical. Karan, a family friend, elaborated, "Nimish had started to recover but after a few days he contracted meningitis. On Friday evening, he breathed his last.” Nimish had won the Maharashtra State Award for Best Sound and MIFTA Award for Best Sound Designer for the movie Shala in 2011.
