Even before a single frame has been shot, the Ranbir Kapoor-Arjun Rampal-Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Roy has become a subject of discussion in industry circles. Be it Ranbir’s remuneration, the length of his role or reshuffling of the actors’ dates, the movie has made quite a few headlines.
The latest is that Arjun is said to be miffed with the unit for wasting his dates, after the shoot got pushed a couple of times. The movie, first announced to release in June this year, has been rescheduled for an October opening.
According to our source, Arjun was to start work on Roy in January. The shoot got pushed by two months as Ranbir is occupied with Bombay Velvet and Jagga Jasoos.
So, work will now start in April. And for no fault of his, Arjun is sitting at home, twiddling his thumbs. When contacted, Arjun diplomatically replied, saying, “Not at all true. We start filming in April and (will) finish by June if everything goes well and according to schedule.”
Guess “if everything goes well and according to schedule” are the words to watch out for.
