Varun Dhawan has lent his voice for a rap song in his second release of the year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, co-starring Alia Bhatt. Mirror has it that the song which features in the film touted as Dharma Productions’ tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, has been choreographed by Remo D’Souza. “It was director Shashank Khaitan’s idea to get Varun to rap. Shashank has also penned the lyrics,” says a source. “It plays during a college farewell party with Varun’s character talking about his emotional journey.” Says Varun, “It was a daunting challenge but it worked beautifully for me. It drew in a lot from real-life experiences about the craziness of school, the thrill of sports, and of course, chasing girls.”
