Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata has been discharged from Global Hospital and is back home now.
She has been diagnosed with a non-malignant tumour and has been asked to take complete bed rest and stick to a nutritious diet.

Dr Ajay Chaughule, who has been treating Manyata, says, “Biopsy results show that her tumour is non-malignant. Since she has become very weak, she will have to come visit me for weekly check ups. Sanjay Dutt has been by her side all along and he is now taking care of Manyata and their kids.” It may be recalled here that Manyata Dutt was admitted to the hospital on January 8 after she fell unconscious in her house.

Subsequent tests revealed water retention in her left lung which later spread to the right one.
She then underwent surgery twice: the first one took place on January 11 while the second one was carried out on January 22.

Sources close to Manyata also said that she had to cut her hair short as she was losing it in lumps due to vitamin deficiency. In lieu of her illness, Sanjay Dutt has been released on parole from Yerwada jail; his parole has been extended till the third week of February.
