Parineeti Chopra had twisted her ankle and despite the injury, shot for the song, Drama Queen, for three days continuously.

While shooting in Bhuleshwar, Parineeti had to hide herself in a temple to ward off the crowd.

Director Vinil Mathew fears flying and hence the entire film was shot in Mumbai.

The movie was initially called Hasta La Vista, post which countless discussions over the title took place. Producer Karan Johar gave an ultimatum to co-producer Vikas Bahl, who then came up with Hasee Toh Phasee, which they felt was perfect.

Aalim Hakim came on board to style Sidharth Malhotra’s hair, but ended up styling Parineeti too. Interestingly, her hairdo keeps changing as the plot shows the characters go through a seven-year span.

Before shooting the Shake It Like Shammi song, Sidharth rehearsed with choreographer Remo D’Souza for over nine days to perfect the steps.

Vinil banned pizzas and cupcakes for Parineeti to make her look fit for one of her looks in the film. On the last day of the shoot for that portion, he gifted her a box full of cupcakes. However, for a scene later, he made her eat 20 vada pavs, throwing her out of gear.

To keep the chemistry between Sidharth and Parineeti awkward, the duo was allowed to meet just two days before the shoot.
