After Salman Khan, the fourth season of Koffee With Karan will see Akshay Kumar’s debut on the talk show. Sources say the action hero was at his wittiest during the shoot. He is even said to have fired the filmmaker-host like a school principal, albeit jokingly.

 Akshay also explained why he didn’t appear on the show earlier. Says a source, “Akshay said he didn’t want to stir up any controversy and hence, refrained from participating.”

The actor said wife Twinkle aka Tina didn’t join him as her blunt candour would have put him in a tight spot. For a change, Akshay, grilled Karan with questions like, “Which celebrity wife would you have married first? Tina, Gauri, Sussanne or Shilpa?” And, “If you were making your last film, which actors would you like to work with?”
