WAR had an extraordinary extended first week has it collected over 226 crore nett in its first nine days. The film did get benefit of the holiday period but that is needed to get these sort of numbers up on the board unless you have a BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION
The film opened to record numbers and then saw a dip on the next two days which is expected after a huge record on a national holiday but the film has held very well from Monday onwards. There has been the holiday factor in play over the weekdays as slowly all centres came out of the Dusshera period. East India has recorded insane numbers for the film with West Bengal being at record levels and Nizam/Andhra is also extraordinary despite competition from a big Telugu film.
The film should emerge a SUPER HIT film at least and it could even become the biggest HIT of the year depending on how it goes from here.
The apprx collections of the WAR (Hindi) are as follows.
Wednesday - 51,50,00,000 aprrx
Thursday - 22,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 21,00,00,000 apprx

WAR held on well on day eight with excellent collections of 11 crore nett though the film seems to still have some holiday benefit as collections in South and Central India held up very strongly while there was a bigger drop in other parts. There could be a lag of the holiday season in some centres.
The collections of the film are a huge 217 crore nett plus in eight days and it will be a huge extended week number though the exact number will depend on how much it gets on Thursday. The next two days should see the film settle at a level as all the centres come out of holiday period.

WAR had extraordinary collections on Tuesday as it collected in a similar range to its Saturday number with 27.50 crore nett. The film was better in mass pockets as compared to Saturday due to Dusshera holiday but the metros were a a little less. The growth was around 30% from Monday.
The Tuesday numbers are the best of the year by a distance and the seven day total for the film is over 206 crore nett. This is the third highest first week total of all time after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and SULTAN. The film has also become the first film to score a double century for both Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. WAR recorded fantastic collections on Monday as it got benefit of Mahanavami in parts of the country and Durga Puja continued in the East. Despite these partial holidays the multiplexes did see a drop in ticket rates which has meant the footfalls on Monday are higher than Friday. Practically all the major chains recorded better occupancy and higher footfalls than Friday.
The film collected around 20.50 crore nett on Monday which takes the total of the film to 179 crore nett in six days. It is a holiday for Dusshera on Tuesday and that should enable the film to cross the 200 crore nett mark in a week. The growth may be less than it is on a holiday as some of that growth is probably baked into the Monday number. The film recorded the highest Monday of the year beating KABIR SINGH and it was among the top ten Mondays of all time.
The film is also the highest NETT grosser of Hrithik Roshan as it beat the numbers of KRRISH 3 which did 175 crore nett. The GROSS numbers of KRRISH 3 will be surpassed today if the expected growth comes.
The apprx collections of the WAR are as follows.
Wednesday - 51,50,00,000 aprrx
Thursday - 22,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 27,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 36,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 20,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,79,00,00,000 apprx

WAR had an excellent extended weekend collecting over 158 crore nett as with a record first day number and the highest Sunday of the year. The film has done very well to get back above the 35 crore nett mark on Sunday.
The film has done very well all over with extraordinary collections in the East with Bihar going over 5.50 crore nett in five days and West Bengal at around 10 crore nett in five days which almost makes it the highest grossing film of 2019 in that circuit.
The action factor and the holidays have really given the film a boost and the film is a sure HIT as the film should collect well over the next two days. If the film sustains into the second week it may even become a SUPER HIT or BLOCKBUSTER film.

WAR showed a solid upturn on Saturday as it went up 30% to collect 27.50 crore nett. Despite the big numbers till now it was crucial that the film showed good growth on Saturday. The total so far is a huge 122.50 crore nett and 150 crore should be easily crossed over the the first five days. It could even cross 155 crore nett and that total would make it the fifth highest grosser of the year in just five days.
The bigger circuits all showed growth of around 40% while it was less in the Eastern and Central India markets. The collections in Nizam/Andhra are very good considering it released against a big Telegu film.
The apprx collections of the WAR are as follows.
Wednesday - 51,50,00,000 aprrx
Thursday - 22,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 21,00,00,000 apprx

JOKER showed growth of 40% on Saturday and the business is mainly coming from high end multiplexes but that is expected as the film is running in English only.

Wednesday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 3,75,00,000 apprx

WAR had a good hold on Friday as it dropped 7% from the day before to collect 21 crore nett. The East saw the first day of Durga Puja and the film hardly dropped in West Bengal and other parts of Eastern India. The film also held up better in Mumbai circuit as Delhi/UP dropped more while it was the opposite on Thursday. The former is affected by Navratri in Gujarat.
The three figures of WAR are 95 crore nett which is very good considering it was just the big holiday on day one and it was followed by two working days. The next two days are important as it should get the momentum upwards again especially at the multiplexes on Saturday and mass centres will score on Sunday as it is an action film. The film is easily the highest ever weekend for a Hrithik Roshan or Tiger Shroff starrer.
The apprx collections of the WAR are as follows.
Wednesday - 51,50,00,000 aprrx
Thursday - 22,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 95,00,00,000 apprx
JOKER is doing decent business and went up a little on Friday as screens were added in the metros. The film has only been released in English so the numbers are pretty good.
The apprx collections of JOKER are as follows.
Wednesday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 3,75,00,000 apprx

WAR collected 22.50 crore nett on its second day, a drop of around 55% plus which is a normal drop for a mass film coming off a huge collection on a big national holiday. The film has seen bigger drops in mass circuits as the holiday factor was huge in these places. The collections have dropped less in the bigger multiplexes.
This two day total is a huge 74 crore nett which is already a record weekend for Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff as none of there films have touched this mark in the first three days and this film is doing in the first two days. The third day could also see the film dropping a little but it should gain upward momentum again on Saturday and that will be the crucial day as there will be potential to have big growth. The five day weekend will depend on this growth.
The apprx collections of WAR are as follows.
Wednesday - 51,50,00,000 aprrx
Thursday - 22,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 74,00,00,000 apprx
JOKER is doing decent business as it fell 35% on day two. The film has a limited release restricted to metros mainly. As there are hardly any collections from mass markets, the drop is not much after a national holiday.
The apprx collections of JOKER are as follows.
Wednesday - 5,75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL- 9,50,00,000 apprx
SYE RAA NARASIMHA REDDY is poor as it picked up around 1.15-1.25 crore nett on day two in Hindi markets in Hindi and Telugu. The film dropped off a very low opening day and the Hindi version has just not collected. Even in the Hindi circuits the Telugu version is doing better. The two day collections are around 3.75 crore nett.
