WAJAH TUM HO dropped 50% on Monday from day one as it grossed 1 crore nett taking its total to 6.75 crore nett. It had to do close to its Friday total to not be a loser. Due to release of DANGAL on Friday the film is now looking to close at around 10 crore nett. It needed a strong hold on Monday to last into the second week even then collections would have been limited but at least some collections would have come. The lifetime business of the film will do similar business to the first day of HATE STORY 3. The four day business of WAJAH TUM HO is as follows.
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,00,00,000
Monday - 1,00,00,000
TOTAL - 6,75,00,000 apprx
The film has probably been affected by demonetization as a big chunk of the audience would have been the cash audience instead of card audience for films like ROCK ON 2 and DEAR ZINDAGI

WAJAH TUM HO fell on its second day with collections of 1.75 crore nett. The film is faring poorly across the the country and with just a one week run it will remain poor and not even cover its low costs. The film only has domestic theatrical reveue to rely on as there will not be much from others sources. The two day business of WAJAH TUM HO is as follows.
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 3,75,00,000 apprx
--------------------------
WAJAH TUM HO had a poor weekend of around 6 crore nett and it failed to pick up over the weekend with even Sunday being at a similar level to day one. Even the centers which opened better could not do better. Same time last year another erotic thriller HATE STORY 3 did very well but this one could do nothing like it. The film is low cost with minimal revenue coming from revenues outside domestic theatrical. The only other earning sources are television and music which should give around 4-5 crore but the film had to do business of around 9-10 crore nett over the weekend to have a chance of covering. Now the film could possibly close on 10 crore nett depending on the weekdays. The weekend business of WAJAH TUM HO is as follows.
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,00,00,000 appr
TOTAL - 5,75,00,000 apprx
The other releases GANG OF LITTLES, SARTHAK and SHOR SE SHURUAAT were wash outs. The last named had some issues with the censor board and in this case it would have better if it had not been passed as the few unlucky people who actually turned up to watch the film would have saved their money. The few screenings could have also been given to more deserving films.

WAJAH TUM HO had a low opening day of 2 crore nett. The film is a low budget film and even the start was not too bad and if it had picked up in the evening it could have done around 3 crore which would have been a decent start for this film. The problem was that business in multiplexes was lower in the evening at some places and multiplexes in big cities have recorded very dull collections. The business of multiplexes in smaller centers is better and so are the single screens in these centers but they are still below average. Demonetization would have affected in these places. It will be a struggle for the film from here on as multiplexes not really tending on Friday means growth will be limited.
The other releases like GANG OF LITTLES, SARTHAK and SHOR SE SHURUAAT were washouts as expected. ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY has also fared poorly with around 1 crore nett on day one. Despite being a huge event film in the West there is little brand value in India as they have never found an audience and that is reflected in the collections. It should get a bigger audience over the weekend but the film is going nowhere. The collections are lower than STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS released around the same time last year.
