TUMHARI SULU grossed 1.50 crore nett on Tuesday which is similar to Monday and took its five day total to 15 crore nett. TUMHARI SULU fell on Monday as it collected 1.50 crore nett. The drop is 40% from Monday but that is not good enough for these content type of films which don't open well. A figure near the Friday figure is needed to really make an impact and in the case of TUMHARI SULU it needed a number around the 2 crore nett mark to at least stay in the race.

The four day total of the film is 13.50 crore nett apprx and the first week will go to 17.50 crore nett. BEGUM JAAN had grossed 16 crore nett in week one so it is a bit better than that but the overall scenario is not really much better than BEGUM JAAN. The film has not really found any appreciation although collections in Mumbai city and Pune are better than the rest of the country. The film could not really sustain well in Delhi NCR on Monday and that was the real blow for the film because if Mumbai, Pune and Delhi NCR could collect well on the weekdays, then the film had a chance for a respectable number.

TUMHARI SULU had a low weekend of 12 crore nett apprx with a good jump in business on Saturday. It has managed to do a little better than BEGUM JAAN which recorded first weekend business of 10.73 crore nett but fared poorly at the box office. The weekend business is a little higher than HINDI MEDIUM and BAREILLY KI BARFI also but those films had trended better on Saturday and Sunday.

The film will be totally depending on the weekday run and the target for these type of films is for the Monday to be around the Friday figure. The business of TUMHARI SULU till date is as follows.

The film is only really collecting in five cities and the problem for the film is that it has under performed in Delhi city and generally not done well in Delhi NCR Punjab belt which hold the key for these high end multiplex films as the high ends in these pockets sustain collections very well. So it will be about Mumbai city and Pune driving this film on the weekdays. The postponement of PADMAVATI clears the way with no big film in the way for sometime but it has to sustain to get benefit of that.

TUMHARI SULU has shown very good growth of around 60% on Saturday to collect 4.25 crore nett apprx. This will take the total of the film to a little under 7 crore nett. If this growth was say a year back it would be assumed a winner but the dynamics of the box office has changed now and despite this growth it is difficult to judge.
