TIGER ZINDA HAI has had an excellent second week with collections of 85.50 crore nett. The film has remained rock steady in the second week and the drops came mainly in Maharashtra towards the end of the week due to law and order problems which for most part of a day kept theaters shut and generally the audience kept away from recreational activity. .

The drop in the second week is just 58% which is outstanding for an outright action film which opened at such high levels. The two week business of the film is 291.50 crore nett. The film is sure to be the highest Salman Khan grosser as it will beat the 316 crore nett of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN very soon but it remains to be seen if it can cross the 338 crore nett of PK. The chances are there but it will be crucial that the drop on the third Friday is not big. TIGER ZINDA HAI has been affected by the problems in Maharashtra where protests led to disruptions across the state which meant many multiplexes in Maharashtra had to be shut. The film is actually had another rock steady day but this does not show in collections due to the problems in Maharashtra.

The film has grossed around 6 crore nett apprx on its second Wednesday but this in real is 7 crore nett as the fall in collections is mainly Maharashtra which is 60-70% down from Tuesday while Delhi/UP and East Punjab are only 5-10% down. The total collections of the film are now a huge 286 crore nett. The scenario is looking better today (Thursday) in Maharashtra which if it stays like this will mean another rock steady day for TIGER ZINDA HAI.

TIGER ZINDA HAI has remained rock steady on its second Tuesday with collections of 7.50 crore nett and takes its total collections to 280 crore nett in just 12 days. This solid Tuesday has come despite many places being shut in Maharashtra due to protests which has hit business in this area. The collections of Mumbai circuit are less than Delhi/UP

This is an excellent hold for the film and it will easily cross the business of SULTAN and BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN of 301 crore nett and 316 crore nett respectively. If the film was to hold well over the rest of the week and Friday then it may even go over the 338 crore nett of PK to become the third highest grosser ever. The way the film is holding there is a chance but with an action film there is always a feeling that a drop will come somewhere down the line but so far it has not come.

The top two grossers are BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and DANGAL and while BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION is many miles away it also does not have a chance to reach DANGAL.

TIGER ZINDA HAI collected another 17.50 crore nett apprx on New Years Day to take its total to around 272 crore nett in 11 days. The film has already grossed 66 crore nett in four days of its second week which is more than the first week collections of most films in 2017.

The drop from Sunday was just 20-25% which is a similar trend to last week when the Monday fell on Christmas Day. TIGER ZINDA HAI is going over 300 crore nett for sure but the drop which comes today (Tuesday) and on Friday will determine how much further can it go from the 300 crore nett mark. The weekdays of last week held on extremely well but with people returning back to work this week it will tough this week especially in the metros.

Despite the huge TIGER ZINDA HAI wave going on, the Hollywood release JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE has done pretty well as it has grossed figures of around 19 crore nett in four days. Obviously its test will be today as its a kids/family film coming off an extended holiday but a 30 crore nett lifetime total will be a good result for this film.

TIGER ZINDA HAI had a huge second weekend of 48 crore nett plus as it cruised past the 250 crore nett mark in ten days. Not only is the weekend huge but the hold is extremely strong as well with collections down under 60% from the first weekend. The growth on Sunday was phenomenal as single screens and smaller multiplexes recorded huge collections.

The way the film is going it is likely that the 300 crore nett mark will before the third week is out. There is a holiday for New Years Day today (Monday) so collections will be strong again but on Tuesday it will be a working day and ticket pricing at major chains will also come down. The film is also likely to have its first non BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION circuit record on Monday as it becomes the highest outright Hindi grosser ever in Bihar.

TIGER ZINDA HAI showed solid growth of 30% apprx as it grossed around 14.75 crore nett on its second Saturday taking its nine day business to over 232 crore nett with the 250 crore nett mark in sight after the second weekend. The second weekend drop is looking to be under 60% which is excellent for a film that opened so big and an action genre film.

The film has the potential to set circuit records outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The second Friday confirms the film is set for a long run and business of over 300 crore nett.
