THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND had a good hold in its third weekend collecting 5.50 crore nett as it dropped just a 25% drop from the previous weekend which was affected by the cricket match on Sunday. The film held up well on Friday and put up collections similar to Thursday. The total collections of the film stand at 37.50 crore nett.

The film will bring in collections for a few days more only till the release of DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE. This should be enough for the film to reach the 40 crore nett mark. Its a good result as the the franchise value was limited going by initial even though the first film put up huge numbers but the film had some merits to sustain over three weeks. The film is going to get to 40 crore nett approx after a 9 crore nett first weekend which shows it had legs.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Week One - 19,28,00,000
Week Two - 13,37,00,000
Friday - 1,25,00,000
Saturday - 2,00,00,000
Sunday - 2,35,00,000
Third Weekend - 5,60,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 37,43,00,000 apprx

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND had a solid second week as it collected 12.50 crore nett dropping just 35% from the first week which is a good hold. The film now stands at almost 32 crore nett and it will comfortable cross the 35 crore nett mark. If the film can hold its collection on the third Friday, then it could be even heading for a 40 crore nett finish. The film is lopsided towards Mumbai circuit and it could end up with 45% of the all India business.

The film is the only film playing bring in an audience to the cinemas but that will change when DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE releases on Wednesday. THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND still has around five and a half days till DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE2 and has to get whatever it can in these days as nothing much will be coming after. Overall the film is an a AVERAGE fare and its the third success of the year with BORDER 2 being a SUPER HIT and MARDAANI 3 and THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND being AVERAGE fares.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND did decent business on Monday as it collected 2 crore nett which is a drop of a little over 50% from Sunday and the norm is bigger drops on Monday. The fair value of day one is around 2.75 crore nett. So, its a 30% drop from there which is pretty good. The only thing the film was released on the scheduled ate. Hence, its still about waiting till the second weekend.

If this Monday of 2 crore nett came with a full weekend, then the film would probably be a certain success but now less people saw the film over the weekend which could have led a to a strong hold on Monday than had it been a normal weekend. The four day business of the film stands at 11 crore nett and it is a holiday for Holi on Tuesday. The collections should be strong from the afternoon and the holiday factor will remain in play post Holi in a few states.

The film is a sequel of THE KERALA STORY (2023) and its not been made at a bigger level or anything but the huge success of the first film has meant it got enough audience to the theatres. Going by Monday, the content of the film may not be strong but its also not been rejectet. So, some decent weekend figures in the second weekend will mean a success. The film could turn out to be a good filler till the Eid releases.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,15,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 11,00,00,000 apprx

The repeat run of TERE NAAM collected 10 lakhs nett on Monday which is a 50% drop from Friday. There should be a jump today for Holi and the week should be around 1.10-1.15 crore nett.

The collections of TERE NAAM (repeat run) are as follows.
Friday - 20,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 30,00,000 apprx
Monday - 10,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 85,00,000 apprx

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND did well on Tuesday which was a holiday for Holi. The film collected 3.25 crore nett showing a healthy gains of 60% from the previous day and now stands at 14.25 crore nett. This is achieved despite limited business on the first day due to a late release. The next two days are important for the film and if it can go into Friday with decent holds its going to turn out a successful film.

There will be some Holi leftover which should help collections in states like UP and MP but a market like Maharashtra, where its doing best, will see a drop from Holi. Overall, despite missing the first day, the film is in a good position and if it got a full week it would have been a 20 crore nett week though it will have to settle for a bit less.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,25,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 14,25,00,000 apprx

The repeat run of TERE NAAM has collected 1 crore nett in five days.

Saturday - 25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 30,00,000 apprx
Monday - 10,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 15,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,00,00,000 apprx

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND collected well again on Wednesday with collections of 2.75 crore nett taking its total to 17 crore nett in six days. The Holi factor is in play although it was not the official holiday for Holi. But sometimes it gets celebrated on different days in different states. The period generally lasts for 3 days. So, even today (Thursday), the film will do well, especially in the Hindi speaking belts.

The film is doing lesser business in an area like UP where Holi has a big impact on collections but looking at collections over the last two days, it could be that the big day for Holi is today in that state and this maybe replicated in other areas as well. This should mean another good day for the film at the box office. The film pretty much looks certain to emerge a success now.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,15,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx

The repeat run of TERE NAAM has collected 1.10 crore nett in six days.

TOTAL - 1,10,00,000 apprx

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND has done decent business in its first week collecting 19 crore nett and this has come with the film missing out on the first day. So basically, its a six day first week with it losing the important first day. The holds are good over the weekdays but it is the Holi factor in play there as generally Holi plays out over a few days.

The film saw its best collections of the weekday period in places like UP and Bihar and on Thursday while a Maharashtra benefitted on Tuesday. Gujarat was best on Wednesday which has enabled the collections to look very steady through the week. The trend is overall decent though not as strong as the collections make it look. The collections on Thursday are pretty similar to Monday.

The costs of the film are pretty much similar to the likes of ASSI and TU YAA MAIN, released over the last few weeks, but it will be doing far more business due to it being a sequel to THE KERALA STORY and obviously the content being liked more than those films. The second weekend is the key and if it can do well enough then it will be the third success of 2026 after BORDER 2 and MARDAANI 3.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,15,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 1,20,00,000 apprx

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND has emerged a success as the film holds up well on its second Friday with a limited drop from the previous day. The film has collected 1.75 crore nett which takes the film to almost 21 crore nett and now just needs to consolidate on Saturday which will happen as the advances were good enough.

The film continues to do well on in Mumbai circuit with both Maharashtra and Gujarat putting up decent numbers. It is now certain to run well till the release of DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and that should be enough for the film to reach around 35 crore nett which is good enough for this film. It will emerge an AVERAGE fare and its the third success of the year with BORDER 2 being a SUPER HIT and MARDAANI 3 and THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND being AVERAGE fares.

All the three films are sequels and the next one DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE is another sequel which pretty much shows where the box office is today. At some point, this sequel scenario will run out of steam but results at the present time are not showing this.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,15,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Week One - 19,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 20,75,00,000 apprx
--------------------------------------
THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND continues to do well as it heads for a second week in double digits which could be around 11.50-12 crore nett. The film has held well enough in week two and is likely to show a drop of around 40% which is a good result. The film will have crossed 30 crore nett in two weeks and then there will be another 4-5 days till DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE. So, the film can end at around 35 crore nett.

The film has turned out to be a good filler in this Ramadan period for theatres when business was almost dead. In Mumbai circuit, the film stands at 12 crore nett which is more than the all India collections of films like TU YAA MAIN, ASSI and DO DEEWANE SEHER MEIN, all of which have similar or higher costs. Overall, it will emerge an AVERAGE fare and its the third success of the year with BORDER 2 being a SUPER HIT and MARDAANI 3 and THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND being AVERAGE fares.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.

The Kerala Story 2 movie review: Controversial sequel brings war on one community with same old villains

Box Office India Trade Network

THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND released late on Friday after getting the clearance from the courts which was always going to happen as there was not an issue once the censor had passed the film. But it was about whether the clearance come quick enough to allow release this week. The film managed to get screenings going late on Friday and did around 50-60 lakhs nett and its mainly about what happens today.

THE KERALA STORY (2023) was a huge HIT crossing the 200 crore nett mark and one of the biggest HITS ever if we count the smaller films only. The film found a huge audience as conservative Hindu families watched films in numbers and the female count was reported to be high for the film. The subject matter of the film made it a must for this audience to watch the film with their family and especially take the females of the family.

The film here seems to be on the same subject matter going by the trailer and that could be a problem as the same audience may not come out again to watch again as the first film was seen like an education lesson and that lesson is probably done. The film is low budget and just the name will get some audience in. However, its not like a sequel of a regular genre (action, comedy etc) when you can expect anything like the earlier film or films. The limited shows on Friday night saw a fair response and the film can do well as per its budget with the first film being a one off and not comparable.

The repeat run of TERE NAAM did around 20 lakhs nett on first day which is an okay number but better than the repeat runs seen in the recent times. If there is an audience, the film can run well from here but repeat run business is generally for the bigger centres while TERE NAAM was more liked in the smaller centres when it was released in 2003.
-------------------------------------------
THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND collected 4.25 crore nett on its first day which is a fair collection. If it was a Friday it would have been a good collection but it could not be released due to court issues from the southern state of Kerala. THE KERALA STORY (2023) had better figures as it opened with 6.75 crore nett but that is a one off and cant really be the comparison.

If you compare with that then the figures are not good but if you take the costs of the film and the film getting a 4 crore day one collections even if it comes on Saturday, its a good number. Although it might be a sequel of a film which did 220 crore nett eventually, its about the costs and if a film like this gets a 10-12 crore share, its enough to cover the costs.

The film has fared well in Mumbai circuit which has been trend of these type of films which are negative to a certain community and another circuit which tends to do well is Mysore and its no different here. Mysore is known as circuit with a gentry audience but tends to do well for these types post pandemic. The collections in North India are lower and below the mark. The total collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are almost 5 crore nett up on the board if you add the Friday collections. It has the T20 match to contend with on Sunday. As a result, the growth will be limited if any.

The repeat run of TERE NAAM added 25 lakhs nett on Saturday taking its two day total to 45 lakhs nett. These are decent numbers as repeats have not seen much collections in recent times and on top, TERE NAAM is not that big city multiplex type of film which has scored in re runs post pandemic.
-------------------------------------------
THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND collected 9 crore nett over its first weekend which was curtailed due to limited collections on the first day due to a late release. The film managed to get 4 crore nett collections on Saturday and Sunday which is decent though overall weekend total is hit by the Friday having hardly any collections.

It remains to be seen how the film goes over the weekdays and even though its just a two day weekend, the drop will come on Monday as its a working day but if the film can hold at around 50% of Saturday and Sunday it should enable the film to run till Eid. The fair value for day one is probably around the 2.75 crore nett mark if we go by the collections over the weekend. This means it would have had a 11 crore nett weekend if it was normal release.

The film has done best in Mumbai which is almost 4 crore nett and more than 40% of the total collections. Both Maharashtra and Gujarat have collected well and Mysore also has down well though the rest of the country has seen collections on the lower side.

The collections of THE KERALA STORY 2: GOES BEYOND are as follows.
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,15,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 9,00,00,000 apprx

The repeat run of TERE NAAM collected 75 lakhs nett apprx over three days and its a reasonable collection and the Sunday collections mean it should get some decent collections over the weekdays also.

The collections of TERE NAAM (repeat run) are as follows.
Friday - 20,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 30,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 75,00,000 apprx
