Teraa Surroor collects 1.50 cr on Day 1

Box Office India Trade Network
TERAA SURROOR had a low first day and could not show much growth in the evening. The evening collections were similar to the morning collections. The first day collections will be in the 1.25-1.50 crore nett range depending on where Mumbai circuit finishes. The last Himesh Reshammiya THE XPOSE had grossed 2 crore nett apprx on day one two years back. The release was also wide of 1500 screens plus and collections are too low for such a release.
The collections of TERAA SURROOR are a bit better in UP, Gujarat and CP, CI but in Mumbai, Delhi and East Punjab they are very low. Delhi city has hardly done 10 lakhs nett business. East Punjab is even lower and Bangalore has just collected a few lakhs. The film will need huge growth on Saturday but the Friday trend suggests thats seems impossible.
The other releases GLOBAL BABA, KYA FARK PADTA HAI and MURARI - THE MAD GENTLEMAN could not do anything at the box office with the former being the best of the lot but with just negligable collections.

MUMBAI MIRROR (March 11, 2016)
After building six pack abs
for Teraa Surroor, Himesh Reshammiya will be going in
for a complete makeover for the sequel of The Xpose, Heeriye and a
biopic which is on the cards. Each movie will have a different look and
for which Himesh is going to undergo complete physical training in
London.
The role demands the character to be very fit and Himesh says he wants
to justify the same.
Himesh's latest flick Teraa Surroor which releases today is already in profits before release as confirmed by director Shawn Arranha. “The cost of the film is around 6.50 crores and the marketing budget is around 4.40 crores. The producers have recovered their investment through sale of Indian theatrical rights, music rights, satellite rights, video rights, overseas rights and Internet and other rights.“ Arranha adds.
Good going for Himesh who already has 650 hit songs, 120 films as a composer and 10 films as an actor in his kitty.

WILL TERAA SURROOR BRING CHEER AT THE TICKET WINDOW?
Theatres across the country are having a tough time off late. The recent releases have all underperformed and most of them have done disastrous business. Last week’s Jai GangaaJal failed to set the cash registers ringing. Zubaan opened to shockingly disastrous collections. The same happened with Aligarh. Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive was slightly better but it still is a box office flop. Neerja is the only film running successfully but even that film is showing a fall, which is organic as it’s in its third week now. There are Hollywood films doing well but these are not mass entertainers that would bring audiences in hordes.
Tomorrow will see the release of Tera Surroor which is not exactly a sequel to Himesh Reshammiya’s debut film Aap Kaa Surroor. It stars Himesh in the leading role and marks the debut of actress Farah Karimaee. The other actors in the film are Kabir Bedi, Shekhar Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Monica Dogra. The film is shot very well and looks like a very rich, classy product. What’s impressive is that costs of the film are very limited. The makers claim that they have recovered their investment through sale of music, satellite rights etc. However, box office returns is what will determine if the film can be called a hit or flop. And the chances of the film becoming a hit are remote as of now. The film looks good no doubt but the content is hardly appealing. A large section of audience are not happy with Himesh’s style of acting and are definitely going to keep away from theatres, despite no other exciting film running. Songs have worked but not to a great extent, like it did during The Xpose.
If Teraa Surroor flops, it will add to the list of flops of the season. The theatre owners meanwhile will have to work another week for good news since Kapoor & Sons releasing next Friday definitely looks like a film that will attract audiences in hordes!

MUMBAI MIRROR (March 8, 2016)
Himesh Reshammiya is in
Ajmer Sharif. He is accompanied by his Teraa Surroor leading lady Farah
Karimaee and together they are offering prayers for the film's success.
This isn't the first time though that he has visited Ajmer. In 2007 too he had travelled to the city and prayed for the success of his debut film as an actor, Aap Kaa Surroor. Back then, he was surrounded by a number of fans which made his entry to the dargah impossible. This is when he had worn a burkha and then stepped in for the blessings, something which had created a huge controversy. Now that he is visiting the dargah again today, he has decided not to commit the same mistake.
The makers of Teraa Surroor have already recovered the cost, while being in profits through sales of music rights, satellite rights, Indian theatrical rights, overseas rights, DVD & Internet and other rights. While that has made the film a good commercial proposition already, Himesh wants the film to be loved by audiences in theaters. An excited Shawn Arranha, who has directed the film tells us “We are very happy with the way the movie has shaped up.“
Teraa Surroor is Himesh's 10th film as an actor and 100th film with T-Series. Now that he has 120 films and 650 superhit songs behind him as a composer, Himesh is confident that Teraa Surroor will only carry forward his winning run.
Produced by T Series and HR Musik, starring Himesh Reshammiya, Farah Karimaee, Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapur, Kabir Bedi, Monica Dogra and Shernaz Patel, the film releases on 11th March 2016.

Himesh Reshammiya is back on
the big screen with the edge-of the-seat musical thriller Teraa
Surroor. Set in Dublin, Ireland, the film has many interesting

who has an emotional side to him. He goes to Dublin to save the love of
his life Tara, played by
Farah Karimaee, who gets framed in a conspiracy.
Another important character in the film is police commissioner A A Khan, played by Kabir Bedi. The top cop is known for his dedication and patriotism. He leaves no stone unturned in solving cases. Noted filmmaker Shekhar Kapur also stars in this film as Rajeev Kaul, the Indian ambassador to Ireland. An intelligent man, he is known how to get his way out of even the most difficult situations.
Monica Dogra plays the role of Elle Jardan, a strong-headed criminal lawyer. One of the most crucial characters, Robin Dharamraj Santino, is essayed by Naseeruddin Shah. Known as 'Bird', he is a criminal notorious for his prison breaks.
The music is already a hit and the producers T Series and HR Musik are very confident about the film. “We are really l happy that the music has been received well by the audience,“ says director Shawn Arranha.

MUMBAI MIRROR (March 5, 2016)
Besides for its hit music, Teraa Surroor has been in the news for Himesh's six pack abs. We now hear that the film has already made profits before its release. Excited Director Shawn Arranha says, "The producers have already recovered the film's cost through sale of music, satellite and other rights. I'm equally confident that the audience will thoroughly enjoy this edge of the seat entertainer right from the word go, owing to some great performances and the pace of the film. I can proudly say that I'm very happy with the product".
Aside from the casting coup of Naseeruddin Shah, Kabir Bedi and Shekhar Kapur, we hear there is a big twist in this escape drama which will keep the audience guessing about who the real bad guy is. Adds Arranha, "Set in the beautiful city of Dublin, there are lethal action sequences in the film which are visually stunning. There is also a very classy love making scene; this hasn't been shot to catch eyeballs, it is a very integral part of the plot and has been shot very aesthetically."

Newcomer Farah Karimaee hopes Teraa Surroor will be lucky for her too

BOMBAY TIMES (February 23, 2016)
Himesh Reshammiya's Surroor seems to have been a lucky charm for actresses. Whether it was Deepika Padukone, who was introduced opposite him in his
album Aap Kaa Surroor or Hansika Motwani, who made her debut with the
composer-singer-actor in Aap Kaa Surroor - The Moviee, both went on to
become top actresses in Bollywood and South Indian film industry
respectively. No wonder, model Farah Karimaee is gung-ho about
her upcoming movie, Teraa Surroor opposite Himesh. A self-confessed fan
of his music, she had not thought she would get a chance to share screen
space with him when she attended his concert in Heineken Music Hall in
Amsterdam some years ago.
Excited with the response that the film's trailer and songs have generated, she says, “During the making of Teraa Surroor, I always knew that its music would become a hit. I'm equally optimistic about the movie's success.“
