Being hospitalized in a foreign country was scary-Srishty Rode

Hasti Doshi (BOMBAY TIMES; January 3, 2025)

Srishty Rode’s exciting European vacation came to an unexpected halt after she fell sick and had to be hospitalized in Amsterdam. The Ishqbaaaz actress, who is back in India now, says that it was a scary experience.

She shares, “I went to Europe towards the end of November and while I was in Paris, I got a fever, which didn’t subside even after taking medication. When I was in Amsterdam, I still wasn’t feeling well. On the day I was supposed to take a flight back to India, my oxygen levels dropped and I had to be hospitalized. Although my friends were with me, it was still scary to be hospitalized in a foreign country.”

She adds, “I was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to keep an oxygen pipe with me constantly in the hospital. Things took time to stabilize. Visitors were allowed once a day and my friends could meet me just for some time. I felt alone and used to cry. After four days, I was discharged & took a flight back to India. Once back here, I had to be hospitalized for another five days.”

The actress is recovering slowly. “Eating good food and taking care of my health is my priority now. After this experience, I am scared to travel anywhere, but I’m hoping to overcome my fear soon.”

Srishty Rode bags debut film just two days after her eviction from Bigg Boss

Neha Maheshwri (BOMBAY TIMES; December 7, 2018)

Srishty Rode, who was evicted from Bigg Boss recently, has landed her first Hindi film just two days after her exit from the show. Srishty tells BT, “While many people were shocked to learn about my eviction, I was taken aback when the makers of the film told me that they were hoping for me to step out soon. I got a call regarding the film two days after my eviction and I have signed on the dotted line. I don’t think anyone has benefitted from Bigg Boss so fast. Apparently, the makers were considering another girl, but they changed their mind as soon as I was evicted. We shall be going on floors soon.”

About the film, she says, “It’s a sports film on kite flying. I play the heroine opposite Abhishek Dua, and the team is fantastic. Since my father is a DoP, the first question he asked me was who the DoP is in this film. When I told him that he is someone who has worked on several big films, he was happy. I have been offered TV shows as well, but I thought that this was the right project at this time.”

Ask her if she follows the reality show now, she replies, “Ab kya mann lagega? Also, I have been busy and haven’t been able to watch the show.”
