SOORYAVANSHI has seen an excellent third week collection of 18.50 crore nett surpassing all Akshay Kumar releases in week three including HOUSEFULL 4 (16.27 crore) and MISSION MANGAL (14.53 crore). There was competition on Thursday but it still did not drop much. The collections were down only in the 15% range on Thursday.

SOORYAVANSHI has now collected 184.50 crore nett in three weeks and will see a substantial reduction in shows from today as ANTIM - THE FINAL TRUTH releases. The film is down to 2-3 shows at most multiplexes but still this is enough for it to have some decent collections even in the fourth week. The poor response to one of the new releases, SATYAMEVA JAYATE 2, can help the film.

It remains to be seen where the film lands on the third Friday but if it can get 1 crore nett or more, then it will remain on course for a 200 crore nett final total.

SOORYAVANSHI became the highest third week collection for an Akshay Kumar starrer as it hit 17.25 crore nett in week three with one day to go as against the 16.27 crore nett of HOUSEFULL 4. The overall total of the film is over 183 crore nett.

The film will hit another huge benchmark today as well as it becomes the first outright film to hit 40 crore nett in Gujarat/Saurashtra in the history of Hindi cinema. These record breaking collections have come straight after the pandemic. 

The business over the next two days will be crucial in terms where does the lifetime business can and does it finish in the lower 190's or go towards that 200 crore nett mark.

SOORYAVANSHI added another 1.75 crore nett apprx on its third Tuesday taking its nineteen day total to 181.75 crore nett. The third week is heading for total of 18.50 crore nett assuming there will be a drop on Thursday as there will be a new release.

The film is holding best in Maharashtra, Gujarat, CP Berar and all the East India markets are also showing a good trend and showing lesser falls than the all India average. CP Berar will come out as highest grossing circuit after Mumbai and Delhi/UP and this is rare and here its with Maharashtra at only 50% occupancy. The high ratio of business in CP Berar comes from Maharashtra.

The underperforming markets are Delhi/UP and East Punjab with ratios of 17% and 5% but this is the case for most Rohit Shetty films as they generally have a Maharashtra or Goa base.

SOORYAVANSHI is maintaining its strong run at the box office with collections in the 1.75 crore nett range on its third Monday. The film is on course to be the highest third week collections ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer. The drop is 45% on the third Monday but the Friday collections were boosted by 15-20% by the partial holiday on Friday.

HOUSEFULL 4 collected 16.27 crore nett in week three and it seems like SOORYAVANSHI is heading for a 18 crore nett plus third week number. The film already has 14 crore nett up with just four days gone of the third week. The film has also beaten another HOUSEFULL 4 record as it has emerged as the the highest grossing Akshay Kumar starrer in Mumbai circuit. It will be the first Akshay Kumar film to cross 80 crore nett in Mumbai. 

The total in eighteen days is now almost 180 crore nett and remains to be seen if it hits 200 crore nett. It will get very close but whether it gets there depends on a lot of factors when the new films release this week.

SOORYAVANSHI had another superb Sunday as it collected 5-5.25 crore nett to take its third weekend total to 12 crore nett which is an excellent number for the third weekend. The Hindi belts again saw strong collections on Sunday with Gujarat/Saurashtra again being around the 1 crore nett mark. 

The Gujarat holds for the film are historic as normally films don't hold like this as Gujarat has that huge holiday period over Diwali week. Even after those holidays, its done around 20% of the all India business in Gujarat on Sunday when the normal ratio for the circuit is around 10%.

This takes the total collections of the film to 178 crore nett and the film can still aim for 200 crore nett though it will be about how many screens it retains this week when two new films release. The second week dropped around 62% and it will be pretty much the same range in week three. If this gets repeated in week four, then the 200 crore nett mark will be pretty much there for the film.

SOORYAVANSHI collected 4 crore nett apprx on its third Saturday to take its 16 day total to 173 crore nett plus. The growth on Saturday was less than normal as it was coming of a holiday in parts of India. 

There were places that showed huge Saturday growth like Mysore and West Bengal as these places went up over 75% but Delhi NCR which is among the highest growth areas on Saturday was pretty flat. SOORYAVANSHI Sunday growth should be strong as the Hindi belt circuits show good gains again. 

The film remains super strong in Gujarat/Saurashtra as it has become the highest grosser in the circuit outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION with business of 38 crore nett. The film will easily have a total of 40 crore nett plus by the end of the week in this circuit. Maharashtra is also on a very strong run with Mumbai circuit looking at phenomenal lifetime collections even though it lost quite a lot of first weekend business due to the 50% capacity rule.

SOORYAVANSHI recorded fantastic collections on its third Friday as it collected 3.25 crore nett which is similar to what the film collected on Thursday. The film was helped by a holiday for Guru Nanak Jayanti in parts of the country but even where it was not a holiday the film held up very well.

The collections of SOORYAVANSHI were lower than other Diwali releases like GOLMAAL AGAIN and HOUSEFULL 4 but the trend was stronger and this has come into play on the third Friday as the film records higher collections than both the films and by a decent margin. The 200 crore nett mark is within range for the film but a lot will depend on week four when two new films which cater to a similar audience to SOORYAVANSHI release.

The total collections of the film are nearly 170 crore nett now and is heading for an excellent third weekend. The growth will be less at places on Saturday as it was a holiday but overall should still be an upward trend over the weekend.
