RAJA NATWARLAL had a poor weekend all over as the film started low on Friday and had a big drop on Saturday which sealed its fate. The collections on Sunday were better but it was irrelevant. The approx weekend daily business is as follows

TOTAL - 13,80,00,000
The weekend business of RAJA NATWARLAL was lower tha films like HATE STORY 2, YAARIYAN and HASEE TOH PHASEE which were smaller films released on a lesser number of screens.

business of SINGHAM RETURNS till date is as follows.

MARDAANI trended well in week one and managed to gross around 23 crore nett. The major contribution came from the multiplexes in metros. The film got tax exemption in UP and MP and although the film was not really collecting in these areas, the tax exemption helped it maintain, though at low levels.
The film will also get a tax exemption in Maharastra but the way business is today, you need tax exemption from day one to help in a big way. The best business came in Mumbai circuit which was around 8.75 crore nett and West Bengal which grossed close to 1.50 crore nett.

MARDAANI had decent eighth day figures as it grossed in the 1.25-1.50 crore nett which is pretty good as it is not a huge drop from Thursday and there was a major release like RAJA NATWARLAL.
The film should show solid growth over the weekend and has chances of putting up a near 5 crore nett weekend or even more if it can have a really big jump on Saturday which has happened to some of these content type of films on second Saturday. The film is all set to cross 30 crore nett in two weeks.
The not so good response to RAJA NATWARLAL will also help MARDAANI in its second week. The film has done well to come this far looking at the collections on the first morning which were very low.

SINGHAM RETURNS has taken its two week business to 135 crore nett as it added around 23 crore nett in week two. MARDAANI in week one and SINGHAM RETURNS in week two had almost similar figures. The drop in week two for SINGHAM RETURNS is quite a lot - at nearly 80%. Mumbai circuit continued to be strong and the circuit has gone over 55 crore nett in two weeks.
The main difference between SINGHAM RETURNS and SINGHAM is that the former has fared better outside Mumbai be it Delhi/UP, East Punjab or West Bengal. This can be seen by the fact that SINGHAM RETURNS has a 40% contribution from Mumbai while SINGHAM was 48%.
SINGHAM RETURNS has now crossed the business of ROWDY RATHORE to become the tenth highest grossing film ever. The next on the list is DABANGG (2010) at around 141 crore nett and it remains to be seen if SINGHAM RETURNS can edge past DABANGG.

SINGHAM RETURNS had a pretty good second weekend of 15.25 crore nett taking its ten day business to around 127 crore nett. Despite the fair numbers there is a noticeable drop all over now as collections have come down nearly 80% from the first week.
Mumbai remains top as the weekend was around 6 crore nett in the circuit as the film heads for around 60 crore nett business in the circuit making it one of the biggest grossers ever in the circuit as only five films have gone over 60 crore nett.
The film has emerged a SUPER HIT and is the second biggest hit of the year after Kick and lifetime business is set to be in the 145 crore nett region.

SINGHAM RETURNS is heading for a week of 23 crore nett as it collected around 2 crore nett on its second Monday. The second week collections of the film will not only be less than the biggest grosser of the year KICK but also lower than films like HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY and 2 STATES which are lower grossers than SINGHAM RETURNS.
The film has grossed around 129 crore nett till now and after two weeks the business will be around 135 crore nett.
SINGHAM RETURNS will add between 6-8 crore nett in its run after two weeks which means a finish of a little less than 145 crore nett which will make it amongst the top ten grossers of all time. ------------------------------------
ENTERTAINMENT which had fair collections in the second week saw a huge drop in the third weeeknd. The film has lifetime business of a little over 63 crore nett. The business for the first two weeks and third weekend is as follows.

Singham Returns collects 110 cr in Week 1; falls on 8th day

SINGHAM RETURNS had an excellent first week of around 110 crore nett
but collections did start dropping on the weekdays outside Mumbai
circuit and CP Berar to an extent. The business in Mumbai circuit in
week one is almost the same as KICK though all India is 40 crore plus
lower than KICK.
North India has fared much better than the first SINGHAM though collections dropped from Tuesday onwards. Mysore and West Bengal have average business. Rajasthan, CI and Bihar were excellent in week one.
The film may just cross the 150 crore nett mark on the strength of business of Mumbai circuit. Still it would be a fantastic final total for SINGHAM RETURNS.

SINGHAM RETURNS recorded the fourth highest opening three days
collections ever after DHOOM 3, CHENNAI EXPRESS and KICK. It was second
best for 2014 after KICK. KICK did not have any benefit of a holiday in its
first three while days Singham Returns had one holiday. The other
releases in the top ten without a holiday are Dhoom 3 and Yeh Jawaani
Hai Deewani.
SINGHAM RETURNS is by far the biggest opening for an Ajay Devgn starrer beating BOL BACHCHAN which was around 40 crore nett. Infact the collections of SINGHAM RETURNS are almost double of BOL BACHCHAN.
DHOOM 3 heads the charts with around 95 crore nett and that century weekend being elusive but at least one of BANG BANG, HAPPY NEW YEAR and PK should get there, if not all three. Below are the all time top opening weeeknds.

Singham Returns collects 87-88 cr in 4 days

SINGHAM RETURNS has done very well on Monday with collections set to be around 13 crore nett. It is a holiday in some parts of the country but not the type where all offices are shut. The holiday has helped but still these sort of collections are very good.
This will take the film to around 87-88 crore nett and the film has chances of grossing around 110 crore nett in the first week depending on trend over the next two days. The business in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, West Bengal and Mysore has already crossed the first SINGHAM. Below are the daily approx figures for the first four days in week one.

Mumbai circuit is still leading the way and business on Monday will be around 5 crore nett taking the circuit to a huge 35 crore nett in four days. That is just a crore or two less than JAI HO's lifetme business in Mumbai.

SINGHAM RETURNS was very strong on its second day as it grossed
around 19.50 crore nett taking its two day total to 50 crore nett
approx. The second day is excellent after a big holiday. The weekend
should hit the 75 crore nett mark making it the second highest weekend
of the year.
The film is scoring all over unlike the first SINGHAM. The holiday on day one gave it momentum in circuits which may have not opened that great otherwise and as appreciation is there the film is continuing to put up strong numbers. Mumbai and CP Berar are best and this is where the first Singham was also best.

SINGHAM RETURNS had an excellent weekend of around 74.50 crore nett approx making it the second highest weekend weekend of 2014 and the fourth highest weekend of all time after DHOOM 3, CHENNAI EXPRESS and KICK.
The film did phenomenal business in Mumbai circuit with a figure of close to 30 crore nett over the weekend. The difference between the first SINGHAM and SINGHAM RETURNS is the rest of the country where SINGHAM RETURNS has fared much better. SINGHAM released in 2011 had a ratio of 52% business outside Mumbai circuit while SINGHAM RETURNS has over 60%. Rajasthan CP Berar, CI, UP and Bihar are also fantastic.
There is a holiday on Monday and although its not an all India holiday, the major grossing areas for Hindi films will have a holiday. North, Rajasthan and Gujarat will be off for Janmashtami while Maharashtra will have a holiday for Parsi New Year. This should give a healthy boost to collections.

SINGHAM RETURNS had one of the highest opening days of all time as it
recorded first day business similar to the likes of CHENNAI EXPRESS and EK THA TIGER. Both these films grossed around 30.50 crore nett and SINGHAM RETURNS is also in that 30.50 crore nett range.
Mumbai, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and Bihar have seen new all time records for first day collections. KICK was the highest opening of the year till date but SINGHAM RETURNS has surpassed its figures in every circuit apart from East Punjab, West Bengal, Assam, Orissa, Mysore and Tamil Nadu Kerala. Apart from East Punjab all the others are small contributors to all India business.
Mumbai circuit has grossed 3.75 crore nett more than KICK and has beaten the figures of DHOOM 3, CHENNAI EXPRESS and EK THA TIGER. DHOOM 3 is the biggest opening till date at 32 crore nett and SINGHAM RETURNS will be either the 2nd, 3rd or 4th highest opening day ever when the final figures from all circuits come in.

despite having a huge reduction of screens. The film grossed around 3.25
crore nett on its eighth day taking its business to nearly 53 crore
nett.
The film recorded very good occupancies on its eighth day but there is not much chance of a big second week total because on a normal day it can't record these type of occupancies. The film has fared better in North and Central India markets and that trend continued in its second week..
The film will now comfortably go over the 60 crore nett lifetime mark and finish with lifetime business of around 65 crore nett but that is still low for a film like ENTERTAINMENT.
