The Tamil film VIKRAM is a huge blockbuster in Tamil Nadu as it grossed around 43 crore nett over its first weekend and is heading for a first week total of 66-68 crore nett. The Hindi version VIKRAM: HITLIST is a disaster but the film has done phenomenal business in Tamil Nadu and is generally excellent in other markets of the South. The film should cross the 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu.

The numbers from Tamil Nadu may not look huge as in our industry as you have crazy numbers going around for South films but generally those are way off the mark. Basically the bigger films in Tamil Nadu have not done great in recent years and VIKRAM will be that first big BLOCKBUSTER after VISWASAM in 2019 for the Tamil film industry. KGF - CHAPTER 2 is another blockbuster but that is not from the Tamil film industry. The other blockbuster films of the last 5-6 years have been smaller films. At an all India level the business of VIKRAM should be in the 115 crore nett in the first week.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE is also proving to be one of the biggest BLOCKBUSTERS of all time for Punjabi cinema as it will close its fourth week in India with around 30 crore nett business making it the third film in history to cross that mark after CARRY ON JATTA 2 and SHADAA.

The film has also done huge business worldwide as it will be around 55 crore worldwide after its fourth week which makes it the second highest grosser worldwide in history after CARRY ON JATTA 2. Its is unlikely to reach the numbers of CARRY ON JATTA 2 as the run is now coming to an end be it India or Overseas.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE sustained very well at the box office in its second weekend despite competition from BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 which did very well. SAUNKAN SAUNKNE managed to stay ahead of BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 in most of the cities in Punjab state.  

The film collected in the 5.25-5.50 crore nett range in its second weekend which takes the film close to the 22 crore nett mark. The holds were strong in East Punjab and also Delhi NCR. The film after ten days is competing with the biggest Punjab grossers such as CARRY ON JATTA 2 and SHADAA also had collections in the 22 crore nett region after 10 days.

The target for the film is probably 30 crore nett though it wont be easy and that would make it the second highest Punjabi grosser of all time in India.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE scored excellent numbers at the box office as it collected around 16.50 crore nett in its first week across India. This is the second highest first week total of all time after SHADAA which collected 17 crore nett. The film scored over SHADAA in the East Punjab numbers but was less in the rest of India.  

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE should become the highest grossing Punjabi film post the pandemic over the weekend and should go on to comfortably cross the 25 crore nett mark. The highest grossing Punjabi films are CARRY ON JATTA 2 at almost 34 crore nett and SHADAA at 29 crore nett and these targets are tougher though there is an outside chance the film can reach the numbers of SHADAA though it will be difficult. 

The East Punjab collections of SAUNKAN SAUNKNE are a huge 13.50 crore nett plus for the week which is also the second highest total of all time after CARRY ON JATTA 2 and the film is certain to cross 20 crore nett in East Punjab.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE continued to do well on Tuesday although there was a drop from Monday. The film collected a solid 1.75 crore nett on Tuesday taking its total to over 13 crore nett in five days. The film should hit the 16 crore nett mark by the end of the week. 

The lifetime number of the film depends on the second Friday. It is probably not going to challenge the top Punjabi films like CARRY ON JATTA 2 and SHADAA as those films had phenomenal holds over the weekdays but it should easily emerge the third biggest film in the history of Punjabi cinema. The target for the film will be to cross the 25 crore nett mark.

Post the pandemic, HONSLA RAKH did around 20 crore nett in India and SAUNKAN SAUNKNE will easily surpass the numbers of that film. In East Punjab, it will cross the business of HONSLA RAKH within ten days.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE had a huge hold on Monday as collections were a little higher than the first day. There was a minor holiday for Buddha Purnima which helped collections a little in Delhi city, Haryana and Chandigarh but it was not a holiday in Punjab state where the bulk of the collections came for the film.

The collections of SAUNKAN SAUNKNE on Monday were 2.20 crore nett which is a little higher than the first day as Delhi city was comfortably more than the first day. The holds are super strong in Punjab also where there is no holiday affect. The film is a BLOCBUSTER and will be among the highest grossing Punjabi films of all times. The Monday collections were in the same range as the biggest Punjabi box office grossers CARRY ON JATTA 2 and SHADAA.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE set a new all time high for Punjabi cinema over the first weekend as it collected almost 9.25 crore nett over the weekend. The film beat the records of SHADAA (2019) which had collected 9.08 crore in the first weekend.

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE almost hit the 4 crore nett mark on Sunday and this number has never been hit by a Punjabi film. The previous record for Sunday was the 3.65 crore nett of SHADAA but this film has gone past it easily as it collected over 3.90 crore nett on Sunday. The industry has come a long way over the last decade as around 10 years a ago a 4 crore nett lifetime total would be a BLOCKBUSTER film and now it is targeting 4 crore nett on a single day.

The collections of SAUNKAN SAUNKNE on Saturday and Sunday in Delhi city were beating JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR despite having far less screens. This trend will continue over the weekdays.

The Punjabi film SAUNKAN SAUNKNE continues to smash box office records on day two. The first day saw the film break the first day record in East Punjab post pandemic and the now the second day has gone even better as it recorded the highest second day in HISTORY for a Punjabi film.

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE crossed the 3 crore nett mark across India as it collected 3.10 crore nett beating the 3 crore nett that SHADAA had collected on its second day in 2019. The two day collections of the film are 5.25 crore nett which is fantastic.

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE is doing superb business across East Punjab and Delhi NCR and should emerge a BLOCKBUSTER film though Monday will tell where it will go. The growth on second day is excellent as the film goes to the levels which BLOCKBUSTER Punabi films saw before the pandemic.

The collections of the film are such that on the first day it collected more in just Ludhiana city than what JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR did across the East Punjab circuit.

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE has set post pandemic records in Punjab as it records the highest collection for a Punjabi film in East Punjab post the pandemic. The collections are not the highest at an all India level as HONSLA RAKH did extraordinary business in the NCR belt. So that film had a higher all India total than SAUNKAN SAUNKNE.

The collections of SAUNKAN SAUNKNE are the highest ever also for Ammy Virk by a huge margin as his earlier openers like QISMAT, QISMAT 2, NIKKA ZAILDAAR 3 and BAMBUKAAT were all under 1.50 crore nett while this film will easily cross the 2 crore nett mark. The film is likely to collect in the 2.15 crore nett range across India pushing his star status to a new level.

In East Punjab, the film will cross the 1.80 crore nett mark beating the 1.76 crore nett of HONSLA RAKH as even big cities like Chandigarh and Amritsar give better collections than HONSLA RAKH. Punjabi films have found it tough going since September-October last year when HONSLA RAKH, QISMAT 2, PUAADA and CHAL MERA PUTT 2. The fantastic opening of this film will be a huge boost for the Punjabi film industry.
