HINDUSTAN TIMES (June 12, 2022)
Actor Shah Rukh Khan and his family have maintained a stoic silence over his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in connection with a drug case last year. However, NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) deputy director (operations) Sanjay Singh, who headed the Special Investigations Team (SIT), spoke about the father’s condition at that time.
Speaking with India Today, Singh revealed Shah Rukh met him and raised concerns about Aryan’s physical and mental well-being when Aryan was in custody. Sanjay said that in one of their conversations, a teary-eyed Shah Rukh told Singh: “We have been painted as some kind of big criminals or monsters who are out to destroy society and we find going to work tough every day.”
Singh also added how Aryan told him that the agency was treating him like an “international drug trafficker”. As per Singh, Aryan said to him, “Sir, you have painted me as an international drug trafficker, that I finance drug trafficking — aren’t these charges absurd? They did not find any drugs on my person that day and yet they arrested me.”
Singh said that Aryan even asked if he deserved being in prison for so long when no evidence was found on him. “Sir, you have done me great wrong and ruined my reputation. Why did I have to spend so many weeks in jail — did I really deserve it?” Aryan asked him, Singh said.

THE TIMES OF INDIA (November 16, 2021)
Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau’s special investigation team (SIT), which had taken up six cases for further investigations, will now focus on the cruise drug bust case involving Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, NCP minister Nawab Malik’s son-in-law Sameer Khan case and actor Armaan Kohli’s case.
The SIT that was formed after a controversy erupted over allegations of a payoff to an NCB official in the cruise drug bust case and images of witnesses accompanying the accused to the NCB’s office with Aryan Khan, and selfies with him emerged.
Nawab Malik had alleged that the case was fabricated. NCB had then said Malik was trying to settle scores after his son-in-law was booked in a narcotics case.
The SIT had taken over six cases but the priority will be to broaden the probe into these three cases, according to deputy director of NCB Sanjay Singh.
He told TOI, “Due to shortage of manpower we have now taken up only three cases to relook at investigations carried out and later on we will take up the other three.”'
The three other cases pertain to the arrest of accused from Mumbra, Jogeshwari and Dongri for dealing in contraband.
Tanu Weds Manu 2 row: Now Sanjay Singh slaps legal notice on Aanand

While director Aanand L Rai hunts for a Kangana look-alike for his, Tanu Weds Manu sequel, the film has hit a roadblock.
Reportedly, Aanand has been slapped with a legal notice by Sanjay Singh, one of the three producers of Tanu Weds Manu, the other two being Vinod Bachchan and Shailesh R Singh. The supposed legal notice states that the director doesn't have the rights to make a sequel without their consent.
Aanand L Rai counters these reports, saying "Vinod, Shailesh and Sanjay only have rights over the first film. They don't have the rights to sequels and prequels. So, why can't I make a sequel to Tanu Weds Manu?" questioned Aanand, adding, "Eros International is the producer of the sequel. They have all the papers in place to take this project forward. And I've already started work on the film. As for their legal notice, I'm yet to receive one from any of them. I can only comment on it after I have seen it."
When contacted, Vinod furiously retorted, "Shailesh, Sanjay and I are the producers of the first film and are keen to make a sequel. My legal notice is being drafted right now while Sanjay has already sent a notice from his end. Aanand is trying to damage our brand. If he was so keen to make the sequel, why didn't he seek our permission or choose to work with us?" he rants, adding, "If he was so keen to work with Eros International, why didn't he start a sequel to Raanjhanaa or his first film Strangers? We have our papers in place."
Eros International had issued a press statement back in 2011 stating that they were producing Tanu Weds Manu 2. When contacted, the company's official spokesperson confirmed they are still on board as the producers of the film.
When informed about this, Vinod insisted that the sequel cannot be made without the consent of his co-producers and him.
When we last checked, Aanand hadn't received a legal notice from Sanjay or any of the other co-producers. Aanand said, "If Vinod, Shailesh and Sanjay can prove they have the rights to make the sequel and/or a prequel, I will direct it for them. In any case, their legal notice should be addressed to Eros, not me."
