Ex-Miss India Manasvi, one of the leading ladies with Ajay Devgn in Action Jackson, is not only firmly settled in the US, but is also actively involved in quite a few social and political campaigns involving US President Donald Trump. A testimony to this fact was at a mega event last week when she not only welcomed him during a special Diwali event, but also spent an hour in his company.
A close associate of the beauty queen-turned-actress-turned-Indian ambassador of Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) says, “This isn’t the first time she met President Trump. She, along with her industrialist father Shalabh Kumar, actively campaigned for Trump during the US elections. The father-daughter combo has been running RHC for more than a year now and one of the initiatives pioneered by them was to work towards garnering support for Trump during 2016 United States presidential election.”
While one can pretty much see several pictures of her along with top US politicians on social media, that has been a result of quite a few initiatives and events that Manasvi has driven during the last few months, which has led to many connects been build.
This was evidenced over the weekend gone by as well when she welcomed Trump on Diwali during celebrations that lasted five days. Says Manasvi, “One year has passed since I became RHC India Ambassador and a lot has changed decidedly for Hindus. We got the most pro-Hindu, pro-India US President elected, and President Donald J Trump put all terrorists and Pakistan on notice. Our community has much to celebrate this Diwali, ushering the age of best friendship between the US and India. I was honoured to spend 60 minutes with Mr President and the first family on Diwali.” No wonder, Manasvi has taken a break from Bollywood and is working extensively with her father to take forward the RHC initiative in the US.

Actress, ex-Miss India and die-hard Donald supporter Manasvi gets 45-minute naach gaana slot at US Prez’s swearing-in eve next month

In what will perhaps be the biggest political event of 2017, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th US President on January 2017. Never mind that his team is having trouble getting A-listers to the all-important day, the political leader, known to be an 'India supporter', will have a Bollywood act as part of the pre-inauguration celebrations. Almost 20 per cent of the four-hour stage show will belong to former Miss India Manasvi Mamgai.
Speaking exclusively to hitlist from the US, Manasvi, who played one of the female leads in Ajay Devgn-starrer Action Jackson (2014), says, “The inauguration committee is organising a welcome celebration on January 19 for more than a million Trump followers. There will be two stages that will feature artistes from 3pm to 7pm. The President will come to the viewing box at 5 pm for less than an hour, when there will be just one active stage, barely 10 feet from him. I have been given the prime slot, from 5 pm to 5:45 pm, to lead the Bollywood performance.”

Credit for this honour, says Manasvi, goes to her father, Shalabh Kumar, a Chicago-based engineer and businessman. The Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC), a Hindu nationalist group that galvanised support for Trump during his electoral campaign, was founded by Kumar. This is probably Trump’s way of expressing gratitude to RHC. “My father requested me to volunteer for the campaign and I joined him. I also organised a Bollywood charity concert in New Jersey on October 15. It was there that dad introduced me to Trump,” she says.
Recalling the meeting, Manasvi said when she mentioned that she was a former Miss India, Trump quipped, “Oh, my bad luck! You should have been in the Miss Universe pageant [which he owned at one time]. He is extremely friendly and quite charming, unassuming and straightforward. He is such a great crowd reader that, at the end of one of his speeches, he unexpectedly came back to the podium to say, ‘We love Hindus, we love India’. That became the hallmark of the campaign that point onwards.”
Manasvi, who disappeared from Bollywood after Action Jackson, is waiting for the right opportunity to return to the 70 mm zone; only a content driven role will interest her.
