Bollywood is looking forward to the big fat wedding of Sonam Kapoor with her beau Anand Ahuja. The who’s who of film fraternity is likely to grace the occasion.

Speculations are rife that Anamika Khanna will design the bridal lehenga. A source close to the actress tells us, “Sonam wants to wear Anamika’s outfit for at least one of the occasions. The designer is creating something beautiful for her muse.” The leggy lass is weighing out different options for the other functions, too. Adds our source, “Sonam is a huge fan of Ralph and Russo. For the reception, she might opt for them or Elie Saab. She’s also looking at some designs by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.”

Her close buddies — Jacqueline Fernandez, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Swara Bhasker — are finalising their outfits, too. The quartet, who will be present at the mehendi, sangeet, shaadi and reception, are in talks with designers.

While Jacqueline Fernandez is opting for a Manish Malhotra design for the D-Day, Swara might settle for Manish or Abu-Sandeep. On the other hand, Bebo and Lolo, who swear by Manish, are yet to decide. Our khabri reveals, “Sonam and her friends are extremely close to all these three designers. Manish has been a family friend to the Kapoor sisters, whereas Jacqueline and he go a long way. As for Abu and Sandeep, they designed clothes for Veere Di Wedding, so it all falls in place.”

In true Parisian style, the ladies will wear ball gowns and men black tailcoats and masks. Fans will definitely look forward to her Insta updates. The acclaimed luxury fashion house, over the years, has gathered an impressive clientele, including an enviable number of Hollywood A-listers and names from business and politics among others.

Sonam has a deep fondness for the brand and was the first Indian celebrity to sport a Ralph and Russo creation at the Cannes Festival 2015. In an interview with After Hrs, Sonam had shared how she’s shared a great friendship with Tamara Ralph from the couture house. “Tamara is a very dear friend of mine. And I always like wearing new designers and I am one of the few artistes in India to explore international brands — be it Zimmerman, Dice Kayek, Proenza Schouler, Rosie Assoulin or Toni Maticevski. Having worn Ralph and Russo for so long, I have a developed great relationship with them.” Sonam was also accompanied by the co-founders, Tamara Ralph & Michael Russo, at the amfAR gala at the recent Festival de Cannes 2016. Later that year, she also graced the front row at the luxe label’s couture show in Paris. Her runway showstopper act will definitely be something to watch out for.

After catching a Coldplay concert in London last week, Sonam Kapoor flew out to Paris for designer friends Ralph & Russo's show at the ongoing Paris Couture Week. After the show, she hung out with American rapper Lil' Kim, Zoolander 2 actress-supermodel Jourdan Dunn and supermodels, Adriana Lima and Petra Nemcova, at an after party.

"Sonam was Ralph & Russo's special guest. She sat in the front row wearing a custommade dress from their label," a source close to the actress informs Mirror, adding that while the party went on till the crack of dawn, Sonam made an exit after an hour.

"British model Yasmin Le Bon told Sonam about having seen the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo dubsmashes and was all praise for Indian song-and-dance," the source added. Sonam also squeezed in enough time for a visit to the Eiffel tower.

La vie est belle indeed, for our home-grown fashionista.

With international film projects and television shows increasingly enjoying the presence of Hindi film stars, could music videos be far behind? After Sonam Kapoor’s blink-and-miss appearance in Coldplay’s Hymn For The Weekend single featuring Beyonce, Bollywood’s British import Amy Jackson is likely to feature in the upcoming music video of Wolf Alice, a four-piece alternative rock band in London.

“Amy, who is currently in the UK on work commitments, had a hush-hush meeting with the Grammy-nominated band famous for songs like Moaning Lisa Smile and Giant Peach,” says a source. While details of the meeting are under wraps, sources reveal that the actress has been offered their next music video.

Amy remained unavailable for comment. Her last Bollywood outing was Akshay Kumar-starrer Singh Is Bliing, which released last year in October. She will next be seen in Rajinikanth’s 2.0 which also stars Akki as the baddie.

R&R invite
Bollywood’s resident fashionista Sonam Kapoor has received an exclusive invite to a Ralph and Russo show in Paris scheduled for July 4. The actress is currently in Los Angeles and will fly to London to attend the Coldplay concert before heading to Paris, two days prior to the show. Since Sonam shares a warm equation with the designers, Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo of the couture house, she wanted to attend their show at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, where they will showcase their latest collection. Interestingly, the actress was accompanied by the British designers at the highly anticipated amfAR gala at the recent Cannes film festival last month. Sonam will wear — no prizes for guessing — a Ralph and Russo number and be seated in the front row at the show.
