One should never shy away from going to the police-Rakesh Bedi

Actor Rakesh Bedi's wife Aradhana Bedi recently became a victim of a cyber fraud where she lost Rs 4.98 lakhs. She was naturally very upset but now she has a reason to smile because the Oshiwara police have helped her get the money back.
Rakesh and Aradhana had filed a case with the Oshiwara police on May 3. On the day, Aradhana got a call from someone who said they had debited money from her account by mistake and wanted to send it back to Aradhana for which they needed an OTP.
She was alert and did not share any OTP. Yet she saw that the money was gone from her account. That's when Rakesh and his wife reached out to the police.
Talking to us about it, Rakesh said, "One should never shy away from going to the police. We went to them within 15 minutes and that's what helped us get the money back. We are happy and satisfied to get our money back and I thank the investigating team who helped us. Such cases are on the rise today and people have to be very alert. And if you still fall prey, then you should approach the police."

Ashok Konde from Oshiwara police station said, "After they complained, we found that the money had been debited from their account to another third-party app. We got in touch with the third-party app to stop any further transactions and requested them to reverse the amount as it was a scam. They did that and that's how they got her money back. We are still investigating who is behind this but the good thing is that we have retrieved their money."
Lockdown mein main almost Dilruba ban chuka hoon-Rakesh Bedi

Since a normal day for Rakesh Bedi, 65, during Coronavirus lockdown, involves helping around the house, he says there isn’t much difference between him and Dilruba, his character in Shrimaan Shrimati. Sharing his happiness over the return of the ’90s sitcom to television, Bedi says, “Lockdown mein main almost Dilruba ban chuka hoon, khali main bol normal raha hoon.”
“My wife does the jhaadu and I do the pocha, and once in a while I make the bed, too. My two daughters also do a little bit of cooking under my wife’s supervision,” shares the actor.
Bedi believes that the timing couldn’t be better for the show’s rerun. “It will add a lot of flavour and humour in everybody’s life, as everyone is so sombre right now. Jab yeh serial shuru hua, meri wife baith ke dekh rahi thi aur main dusre kamre mein tha. I ran to her when I heard her laughing aloud… She said, ‘Maine dekha hi nahi tha yeh wala episode aapka’.”
Mention to him that the countrywide lockdown has ensured that husbands and wives are together 24x7, and Bedi quips, “Chat karne ka mauka hi nahi mil raha husbands ko, kyunki wife bilkul samne hoti hai! Phone haath mein pakadte hain toh darr jaate hain ki biwi phone le legi.”
