Raid collects 60.60 cr in Week 1

Box Office India Trade Network

RAID has done pretty well in its first week with collections of 60.50 crore nett apprx. The weekend picked up well and the weekdays also held though there was a noticeable drop towards the end of the week. The film has recorded the second highest first week of the year and sixth highest first week for an Ajay Devgn starrer.

GOLMAAL AGAIN and SINGHAM RETURNS are the big two while RAID is in the same range as films like SHIVAAY, BOL BACHCHAN and SON OF SARDAAR. The film is a success but its a wait and watch situation for it to turn out a major success. The second Friday is crucial as the film has been appreciated only in some places. So it will up to stronger circuits like Delhi/UP, CP CI Rajasthan and Gujarat to drive the film

The apprx daily first week collections of RAID are as follows.
Friday - 9,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 16,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,00 apprx
Wednesday - 4,85,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 60,60,00,000 apprx

The first week collections of PAD MAN were 59.74 crore nett as that film got a good boost on Valentines Day on its sixth day. So RAID has collected a little higher but should make this gap bigger in week two.

Raid collects 51.50 cr in 5 days

Raid Box Office Collection Day 5: At 53 Crore, Ajay Devgn's Film Is Set For 'Impressive' Week 1
Box Office India Trade Network

RAID grossed well on Tuesday with 5.50 crore nett and took its five day to 51.50 crore nett. The film is now very strong in UP which gained in collections from Monday. The first week of the film is looking to close in the 60.50 - 61 crore nett range which will be the second highest first week total of 2018.

Then it will be the acid test for the film on Friday. The film has chances to emerge the third HIT of 2018 but it all depends on the eighth day. The first week total of 60 crore is good but it has to be sustained into week two and also because BAAGHI 2 in week three will hits business especially places like UP and Bihar where RAID is now doing very well.

The first weekend collections of RAID are as follows
Friday - 9,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 16,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,00 apprx
TOTAL - 51,50,00,000 apprx

The collections on Tuesday are lower than PAD MAN as that film had a holiday for Mahashivratri but the earnings are just 5% lower so in real terms that is good.

Raid collects 46 cr in 4 days

Raid Box Office Collection Day 4: Ajay Devgn's Film Passes Monday Test, Inches Towards 50 Crore
Box Office India Trade Network

RAID has had a strong on Monday as collections come in higher than the early estimates of yesterday. The film has collected 6.25 crore nett on Monday which puts the film in a solid position. Anything over 6 crore nett would have been a good result and the film has gone above the 6 crore nett mark. The drop is around 35% from day one..

The collections are very strong in UP and Bihar with drops of just 20% from the first day. The total collections of the film so far are 46 crore nett and the first week should go to around 62 crore nett. Still the eighth day here is crucial and will tell if the film emerges a HIT or not but Monday is good enough to confirm that the film is at least a success.

The first weekend collections of RAID are as follows.
Friday - 9,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 16,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 46,00,00,000 apprx

The film started a little lower than PAD MAN on Friday but is around 60-70 lakhs nett ahead on Monday and although PAD MAN had partial holidays it could be that Raid could match the weekday collections of Pad Man or even be a little better.

RAID picked up well over on Saturday and Sunday to record decent weekend figures of 39.75 crore nett. The growth on Sunday was 25% which is very good as its Sunday that most film struggle to make healthy gains nowadays. It is the Sunday growth which has made it the second highest weekend of 2018 beating PAD MAN by a small margin though it did get a wider release than PAD MAN.

The wider release as compared to PAD MAN worked in its favour on Sunday as multiplexes and single screens in second tier cities collected well. The film grossed 12.50 crore nett apprx in Mumbai, 7.75 crore nett apprx in Delhi/UP and 3.50 crore nett apprx in East Punjab. The film scored well in Bihar with 1.10 crore nett over three days where PAD MAN grossed 1.28 crore over seven days.

The first weekend collections of RAID are as follows
Friday - 9,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 16,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 39,75,00,000 apprx

The film has done well to get to 39.50 crore nett from an under 10 crore nett start and now it is about the all important Monday.

Pad Man went to 60 crore nett in the first week with help from some partial holidays and it will be must for Raid to match that total if it is to have any chance of emerging a HIT.

Raid Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn's Film Shows 'Wonderful Growth.' Earns Over Rs 23 Crore
Box Office India Trade Network

RAID did well on Saturday as it grossed 13.25 crore nett to take its two day total to 23 crore nett. the growth is solid at around 35-40%. It is a little more than the Saturday growth of Pad Man but overall collections are the same as that film as Raid was a little bit lower on Friday.

The film is doing fair business in all circuits with East Punjab, West Bengal and Nizam/Andhra under performing a little. The bigger problem is that UP is not doing big business as the film is set there and has Ajay Devgn who is popular in UP but still collections are not what they should be.

The first two collections of RAID are as follows
Friday - 9,75,00,000
Saturday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 23,00,00,000

Ideally a 40 crore weekend will be a good result but that seems to be out of reach unless Sunday really goes into overdrive.

But if Sunday can grow well then there will be a chance of a good Monday hold and then the film can make up ground till the release of BAAGHI 2. The growth on Saturday though ensures the film will fare better than the likes of SHIVAAY and BAADSHAHO as it has lower costs and the trend is better.
