RAID 2, which had seen a big drop in collections on Wednesday due to escalation in the conflict with Pakistan as the attention of the nation was there, saw collections come back on Thursday. The issue is still there but the hit in collections was not as much as Wednesday. The film picked up around 5 crore nett which means the film ended with an extended first week of 95 crore nett apprx.
The film has good numbers and has held up well but due to the Pakistan issue, there are less people going to cinemas and generally it will be the same with other leisure activities. Its unknown what shape this conflict will take place and the collections can be up and down depending on the news coming from the borders.
The film is trending like a HIT film and on Monday and Tuesday a figure similar to SHAITAAN looked pretty easy. But now, its about these external factors and how much of a dent will be made if any. Hopefully the film comes out with a good second weekend and cements its position as a HIT film though everything will be dependent on the news flow.
The eight day box office collections of RAID 2 are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,85,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 94,75,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------------
RAID 2 had a good second Friday as it collected 4.75 crore nett though collections should have been higher. However, the Pakistan conflict hit collections. The film should have gone past the Thursday number but evening and night show collections were not as good as they should have been and its not just places like Punjab and Rajasthan where the issue is bigger but other places as well.
BHOOL CHUK MAAF is lucky it did not make it to the theatres as its a film which would have mainly had collections in NCR and bigger centres of UP and Haryana and all these areas are affected. The film was not an opening film anyway and with low evening and night collections in NCR the film would have struggled to get even 2 crore nett up on the board.
RAID 2 now stands at close to 100 crore nett and it remains to be seen how it goes from here. The growth on Saturday may not be like it should be as evening and night shows get hit again. The film was cruising towards a HIT on Monday as that 140 crore nett plus looked easy but now its a bit of an unknown situation. It should still get there though its not known where this India Pak crisis will go. The film has found appreciation in all circuits but the final collections may not go as high as they looked like going on Monday or Tuesday.
The box office collections of RAID 2 till date are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,85,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Week One - 94,75,00,000 apprx
Friday - 4,75,00,000
TOTAL - 99,50,00,000 apprx

RAID 2 had a drop in collections on Wednesday as the attention of the nation was elsewhere with the Pakistan issue which erupted on Tuesday night. The collections did fall a bit as it collected 4.50 crore nett which is around 35% down; it was not because of the film but due to external factors. It was the case for all films. Not just films but generally footfalls in malls and other shopping areas would have also been down.
The film will go back today as this external factor becomes less of an issue unless something major happens again today. RAID 2 has almost 90 crore nett up in seven days and the extended first week will go to around 95 crore nett. The holds are there for the film though obviously a drop like this makes it look otherwise.
The film lost a bit of momentum on Wednesday but it will be a totally different story if things normalize a little and that momentum should return from today and go into the weekend which enable good collections. Obviously attention of the public is going to be elsewhere for the next few days but probably not to the level of Wednesday. So, RAID 2 can still put up strong numbers. It also shows how these external things affect the box office so much today compared to 5-10 years back as its all over the media to another level and the public is consumed by that.
The seven day box office collections of RAID 2 are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,85,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 89,75,00,000 apprx

RAID 2 had the second biggest first week of the year behind CHHAAVA. It edged past SIKANDAR which may not actually mean much due to the reception of that film but still had the Eid period which enabled some decent business initially.
RAID 2 also compares well with SHAITAAN which had collected 80 crore nett apprx over the first seven days though less than DRISHYAM 2 which managed to go over the 100 crore nett mark in its first week.
The business also has a better look compared to the same period last year as only two films managed to go over 50 crore nett in week one (FIGHTER and SHAITAAN) while there is five this year though taking out SKY FORCE which is not real. This means there are four which is still better than last year. The second half of 2024 saw better results and it remains to be seen what happens this year.
The top five first week collections of 2025 are as follows.
1. Chhaava - 2,10,59,00,000
2. Raid - 89,75,00,000 apprx
3. Sikandar - 86,18,00,000
4. Sky Force - 81,41,00,000
5. Jaat - 55,71,00,000

RAID 2 had a very good first day as it collected 19-19.50 crore nett on day one aided by superb collections in Mumbai circuit. The circuit will land up at around 8.50 crore nett which is excellent. The holiday is bigger in Maharashtra than other parts of the country which probably helped the collections. The holiday also seems bigger in Karnataka as Mysore has strong collections going over 1 crore nett.
The collections are lower in North but still both Delhi/UP and East Punjab have done well. The holiday is a minor one in central parts and yet, CP and CI have managed very good collections. These numbers are very good for a film which is not the initial type. Hence, to get this sort of number up on day one puts it on course for success.
RAID in 2018 had collected 9.50 crore nett and the sequel has basically doubled those collections. It can be said that it was a partial holiday but then on the other side business is not the same as it was in 2018 and basically these opening day numbers have established the franchise. The film has an extended four day weekend and is sure to do good numbers again over the weekend after a drop on Friday.
RAID 2 is the second biggest opening of year after CHHAAVA and if we take the 2024-2025 period, then it would be 6th counting original Hindi films only. The film also comfortably scores over other Ajay Devgn starrers like SHAITAAN and DRISHYAM 2, as far as initial is concerned. Again the film reiterates the sequel factor is here to stay for some time yet though it has to be right sequel and not any film can be picked up. There is no doubt films that were not liked will start getting sequels as its pretty clear sequels are getting numbers.
There was also another release THE BHOOTNII which could not do well and collected in the 50-60 lakh nett range and that too on a partial holiday. Hence, its a struggle for this film.
------------------------------------------------
RAID 2 collected 12-12.25 crore nett on day two which is a good collection. The film dropped 35% on the second day but a lot of this was was to do with the Maharashtra area which saw a bigger drop due to it being a big holiday in the state for Maharashtra Day. The other areas fell in the range of 25-30% which is a good hold with a Thursday release and a partial holiday.
The film has collected over 31 crore nett over the first two days and with the weekend to come its going to be a very good extended weekend for the film. As the film has got these sort of numbers up without the commercial elements, the job is done for the film. The film is doing good business all over and remains on course to become the second HIT film of 2025.
The film will have good growth on Saturday and most of the circuits should go back to day one levels or even higher but the all India number will depend on whether Mumbai also goes back to day one levels; here it will be tougher as day one in Mumbai saw a big number. The film is scoring well across the Hindi circuits be it CP, CI or Gujarat as the latter also saw a limited drop on day two.
The two day box office collections of film are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 31,40,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------------
RAID 2 had a fantastic third day as it collected 18 crore nett apprx which is a 50% jump from the previous day. The collections are just a little less than the first day and that is mainly because it was a huge holiday in Maharashtra on the first day. The collections of the film have seen a very good jump in North as both Delhi/UP and East Punjab recorded their best days for this film. The collections in the latter were very good on Saturday considering the zone of the film and how the circuit is performing generally.
The film has now collected almost 50 crore nett in its first three days and its looking like a 70 crore nett plus extended which are big numbers for the film and practically ensure its HIT status though it will be Monday which will rubber stamp the same. The trend of the film suggests that it should hold well over the weekdays and a good Sunday jump can aid further.
RAID 2 has not got its day one numbers in Mumbai but it still it is doing very well in the circuit in both Maharashtra and Gujarat. SIKANDAR may not have done well but after that, the box office has been pretty kind to the Hindi film industry with decent performers in JAAT and KESARI CHAPTER 2. Now RAID 2 looking an outright winner.
The three day box office collections of film are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 49,40,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------------
RAID 2 had an excellent extended weekend as it collected 71.50 crore nett over its first four days. The film opened well and then saw a strong jump on Saturday; this was consolidated on Sunday with another good jump. The film went up very well in all mass circuits on Sunday and collections were also at good levels be it Gujarat, CI or Rajasthan.
The surprise for the film is the East Punjab circuit as its a circuit which is struggling but RAID 2 has managed to put 6 crore nett which is superb for the film considering the zone of the film. A Punjab based KESARI CHAPTER 2 did a similar number over the whole week and here its come over the weekend. West Bengal is another circuit which may have not been expected to do well but is very good.
Generally, the film has done well in all circuits and going by the growth on Saturday and Sunday, the film has found appreciation. It will hold post the weekend and just remains to be seen at what levels. The film should emerge the second HIT film of 2025 and after DRISHYAM, SHAITAAN and now RAID 2, there is another production banner, Panorama Studios, quietly doing very well. The banner probably has the second best record post pandemic after Maddock Films.
The last month 3-4 weeks has also been good for the box office with JAAT, KESARI CHAPTER 2 and now RAID 2 with the three films likely to be in the 325 crore nett range between them. Its not a huge total but considering the films have come almost back to back and how difficult collections are to come by, its a good result.
The four day box office collections of RAID 2 are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 71,40,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------------
RAID 2 picked up well in Overseas as it collected $1.60 million apprx. The film was released on Thursday which for a film like this is pretty much paid previews as the film could not even collect $175k but it did well on the main Fri - Sun weekend collecting $1.45 million. The collections in overseas are a little less than RAID (2018). But the trend in various markets could see the film eventually come out with a better final number.
The film collected best in US/Canada with $570k with Gulf also doing well with $500k while Australia was A$250k and United Kingdom final collections will be £125k apprx. Gulf is less than the first RAID but the other markets have done better especially Australia.
The worldwide collections for the film are 100 crore apprx worldwide for the extended weekend of 4 days. India has a gross of 86 crore apprx while overseas stands at 14 crore. The three day weekend worldwide is 72 crore which is the seventh highest ever for Ajay Devgn with TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR in sixth place with 82 crore and Drishyam 2 in fifth with 94 crore.
The Diwali 2025 release SINGHAM AGAIN is at top of the pile with 176 crore followed by GOLMAAL AGAIN at 134 crore.
------------------------------------------------
RAID 2 has emerged a HIT film as it sees a good hold on Monday. The weekend business pretty much ensured a HIT film but you always need that Monday confirmation that the film can run well post the weekend. RAID 2 collected 7 crore nett on Monday which is a good hold, dropping 45% drop from the Friday.
The Friday was the second day and it was a bit lower than it would been. Hence, the trend maybe a bit less than the 45% drop suggests but overall its strong enough hold for the film to have a good sustained run. The total of the film is 78.50 crore nett so far and will be looking to close out the week in the 95 crore nett range. The makers have ensured that the film will not be on discounted rates on Tuesday as there is no need as the film has worked and with discounted rates, you are consuming some of your audience without really getting benefit in terms of collections.
The film is doing well over in all circuits with Mumbai probably doing the best business as business is over 30 crore nett in four days aided by a strong number on day one due to the holiday and then a good strong trend in Gujarat.
The five day box office collections of RAID 2 are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 78,40,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------------
RAID 2 held steady on Tuesday as it collected 6.75-7 crore nett taking its collections to 85 crore nett apprx. The collections were pretty much the same as Monday with some places actually being better. The hold came without the aid of the discounted rate which will be the scenario of most of the bigger films as far as the first week goes. The hold at the national chains was even better as they hardly saw a drop from the previous day.
The film has done very well up to now but there is a political scenario in India which erupted last night as India launched attacks into Pakistan occupied Kashmir and nobody know where this will lead to. This focuses the attention of the public on this and will likely lead to less attendance at cinemas. As a result, the film will see a fall in collections especially today as it will be in the news everywhere. This will affect all films but RAID 2 will feel the heat most as it has higher collections.
The film will see a drop in collections and then after a lot depends on this political scenario and how it plays but its likely the attention of the public will be elsewhere rather than films. If this confrontation escalates then its not just RAID 2 but decisions will have to be made on new releases. RAID 2 should still manage to reach the HIT mark but its a bit unknown now out there. The Monday and Tuesday trend is of a HIT film but let's see where it goes now.
The six day box office collections of RAID 2 are as follows.
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,85,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 85,25,00,000 apprx
