Radhe Maa, the controversial
god woman, is all set to enter showbiz with a web series. She will play
herself and will be portrayed as the guiding light of the protagonist.
Is this Radhe Maa's attempt to establish a clean image after her brush with several controversies in the recent past? Producer Ramman Handa replies, “It is actually a way to make people meet the real Radhe Maa. To me, her name means 'Rah De Maa', which means, 'Show us the way, mother'. And that is what she will do in the series; she plays the messenger of God, who brings the protagonist out of depression.“
The shoot happened at the godwoman's plush bungalow. The producer says that Radhe Maa was comfortable in front of the camera. “She was spontaneous and co-operative. It was easy because she was playing herself. The result has turned out to be good,“ he signs off.

Duo is peeved that their names are being linked with a reality show; Prachi Desai, Dino Morea upset too
Sanyukta Iyer (MUMBAI MIRROR; September 9, 2015)
The first promo of the reality show, Bigg Boss Season 9 released this week with host Salman Khan announcing the concept of 'double trouble,' which required the contestants to pair up. "This time it will be wow! Bigg Boss nine is mine," the actor tweeted, sharing the show's first look.
But all is not well for the makers and the channel. Godwoman Radhe Maa has slapped them with a public notice for defamation. "We are suing them for maligning Radhe Maa's name. She was never offered the show, has not been signed and will not be a part of it. She is not interested in reality TV," Sanjeev Gupta, MD of a marketing company told Mirror.
Gupta went on to rant over the fact that the spiritual leader, who has been grabbing headlines, doesn't even own a cell phone. "It's a gimmick to increase TRPs. They know that wherever Radhe Maa goes, people follow," raged the bhakt in whose house the spiritual leader has been living. "Our lawyers have been following news reports about Radhe Maa entering the house. We will not accept this," he asserted.
Radhe Maa is not the only person who's upset. Last year, actor Shiney Ahuja whose recent film, Welcome Back, is enjoying a successful theatrical run, released a statement stating that he was not interested in this or any other reality show. "I have been reading reports about doing the show since 2011. It has been three years and they don't stop. This year too, my lawyer rang me to inform that once again my name was being associated with Bigg Boss. I have a paper trail that show stories leading back to the publicists and makers of the show," grouses Shiney, who will also be sending the channel a legal notice.
Prachi Desai, who recently wrapped up the first schedule of the Azhar biopic in London— she plays the cricketer's first wife, Naureen— is also furious over rumours of her being one of the participants. "I am not doing Bigg Boss. It's completely untrue and baseless," she says.
Actor-producer-director-composer-social reformer-preacher Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, whose film MSG 2 is just round the corner, former-actor-turned party-goer, Dino Morea and stand-up comedian Sunil Grover, are all equally aggrieved that their names are being bandied around.
Bigg Boss has been surrounded with controversy since its inception in 2006. It was said that Vindoo Dara Singh won Season 3 because he was guest Akshay Kumar's favourite housemate. Then, Sara Khan accused host Salman Khan of being unfair after being ousted. Housemates, Dolly Bindra and Samir Soni, insisted they had been allowed to reenter Season 4 only after agreeing to do what Salman said. In Season 5, Salman and co-host Sanjay Dutt ridiculed Shakti Kapoor saying, "Bigg Boss ko maanna padega Shakti Kapoor jaise logon ko apne ghar bulaya, hum toh kabhi na bulayen!" A hurt Shakti demanded a public apology. But all this happened after the show started airing. This time the controversies have begun even before the opening night. Mirror contacted the channel but they chose not to respond.
