Queen's collections go below the first day only on Day 13

The collections of QUEEN finally went lower than its day one
collections on its 13th day. It is a case of phenomenal trending as the
collections of the flm stayed above the first day collections on days
two to twelve. For a film to have better collections on the Monday or
Tuesday of the second week than the first day is phenomenal.
The collections on Monday were aided by a holiday for Holi but that also meant no morning and early afternoon shows at places due to festivities. The trending for QUEEN is better than the likes of VICKY DONOR and KAHAANI. The weekdays of the film had collected 2 crore or more until yesterday (Wednesday)
The film will have similar week two collections to KAHAANI despite having a lower starting point of 1.75 crore nett compared to the 2.75 crore nett starting point of KAHAANI. It will be no surprise if the film holds in the third week despite competition.
The collections on Monday were aided by a holiday for Holi but that also meant no morning and early afternoon shows at places due to festivities. The trending for QUEEN is better than the likes of VICKY DONOR and KAHAANI. The weekdays of the film had collected 2 crore or more until yesterday (Wednesday)
Queen 18.82 cr in Week 1; set for great Week 2; Gulaab Gang-Total Siayapaa flop

QUEEN had a low first week collection of 18.82 crore nett but the weekdays held up very strong as the collections were in the 2-2.25 crore nett range in the Mon-Thurs period. The film grossed around 9.50 crore nett in the weekend and 9.32 crore nett in the weekdays.
Hence, the film has collected more than 90% of its weekend figure in the weekdays which is very rare. The collections on the morning of its 8th day were better than its first morning at many places.
Obviously it won't get the gains it got on day one in the evening but with a better start in the morning the 8th day collections will be very good and could even be very close to its first day collection. The film is now sure to cross 30 crore nett lifetime business and even 40 crore is a possibility depending on the next two weeks.

GULAAB GANG was poor collecting around 11.25 crore in its first week while TOTAL SIYAPAA was even worse as it collected around 5.75 crore nett. Both films have limited screenings in week two with TOTAL SIYAPAA hardly having any.
SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS grossed around 5.25 crore in week two taking its business to 36 crore nett. The film is a flop.

The film is seeing the sort of trending that is very rare. It has been a long time since a film recorded a second weekend which is similar to the first weekend. The first weekend was low but that is the case with 90% of the releases but none trend like QUEEN. The film could have very good lifetime numbers if this continues over the next 10-14 days.

QUEEN held up very well on Monday with collections around the 2 crore nett mark. The collections were better than Friday which is very rare but still the overall Monday total is on the lower side.
The film has now collected around 11.50 crore nett in four days which is not impressive though the film has good trending. If QUEEN can hang around that 2 crore nett on the weekdays then it can come out with a respectable 17-18 crore nett first week.
GULAAB GANG and TOTAL SIYAPAA had low collections on Monday as both came down 50% on Monday. Gulaab Gang grossed around 1 crore nett on Monday while Total Siyaapa was around 50 lakhs nett
The combined collections of both films were less than QUEEN which is the only film to survive of the three. GULAAB GANG is relatively better in the mass circuits where it has higher collections than QUEEN even on Monday but multiplexes are extremely low.

QUEEN had a poor first weekend although it showed good growth on
Saturday. The film collected around 9.35 crore nett plus in its first
weekend and had the highest weekend collections amongst the new
releases.
The film did its best business in Delhi city, East Punjab and Mysore as these three areas had growth of 100% on Saturday. Mysore was in fact more than 100%. Still despite the growth it will have to still sustain phenomenally well to put up just about decent final numbers.
The low opening has cost the film dearly as even if Monday collections are the same as Friday or even a bit higher, the Monday figures will still be lower than films like HIGHWAY or HASEE TOH PHASEE. The daily business for QUEEN for the weekend was as follows.

Saturday - 3,35,00,000
Sunday - 4,30,00,000
TOTAL - 9,35,00,000

GULAAB GANG could not make much of an impact over the weekend with as multiplexes all over collected poorly. The film was better in places like UP, Bihar, Gujarat, CP, CI and Rajasthan but even here collections were low.
The weekend collections are around 8.25 crore nett which is a poor return for the wide release the film had. The film was showing on around double the screens of QUEEN and TOTAL SIYAPAA though the extra screens were mainly in small towns. The multiplex screens were similar to the other two releases of the week.

TOTAL SIYAPAA fared poorly in its opening weekend as it grossed around 3 crore nett in its first three days. The rom-com could not find an audience anywhere though collections in Delhi - East Punjab were better than other parts but still very low..
The film was meant for multiplex audiences but it could do not much as the multiplex audience preferred QUEEN over TOTAL SIYAPAA and SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS was the second choice for them over the weekend.
The daily business for TOTAL SIYAPAA for the weekend was as follows.

Saturday - 1,30,00,000
Sunday - 1,45,00,000
TOTAL - 3,75,00,000.
