CHAL MERA PUTT 3 has done well in its first with collections of 7.25 crore nett plus but the film has not trended too well. The film is a HIT and even the first week collections are better than CHAL MERA PUTT 2 which was around 6.75 crore nett (this is the first week post the pandemic) but long term performance will be short of CHAL MERA PUTT 2.
The picture is pretty much similar Overseas where CHAL MERA PUTT 2 smashed all records while CHAL MERA PUTT 3 will finish well short. Overall the film is winner due to the initial collections but is not taking the franchise up another level. Basically CHAL MERA PUTT is the GOLMAAL of Punjab and CHAL MERA PUTT 3 can be equated to GOLMAAL RETURNS which was a HIT but the weakest product of the franchise.
The collections of CHAL MERA PUTT 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 1,32,00,000
Saturday - 1,68,00,000
Sunday - 1,63,00,000
Monday - 86,00,000
Tuesday - 72,00,000
Wednesday - 60,00,000
Thursday - 52,00,000
TOTAL - 7,33,00,000
QISMAT 2 is excellent in week two with business of over 4.25 crore nett taking its two week total to 15 crore nett. The drop is 60% but it was an eight day first week whereas if we take seven days, the drop is just 52%. The film is heading to be the highest Punjabi grosser in India post the pandemic beating the numbers of CHAL MERA PUTT 2.
The collections of this film are simply outstanding in Delhi/UP with collections nearing the 4 crore nett mark. This is where its far ahead of CHAL MERA PUTT 2 while the East Punjab collections compared to CHAL MERA PUTT 2 will be a little lower.
The collections of QISMAT 2 till date are as follows.
Week One - 10,63,00,000
Week Two - 4,35,00,000
TOTAL - 14,98,00,000

QISMAT 2 is on course to be the highest grossing Punjabi film in India post the pandemic as it totals 13.50 crore nett after its second weekend. The film collected almost 3 crore nett in its second weekend and is sensational in Delhi city.
The collections in Delhi city on Saturday and Sunday were around 40-45% of the East Punjab figure which is simply phenomenal. These sort of ratios have never been seen before with a Punjabi film. It is helping that there are no major Hindi releases so QISMAT 2 can get more screenings in the key multiplexes of the capital. But as always, the content has to work also and QISMAT 2 has been appreciated in Delhi city in a big way.
The film will cross the business of CHAL MERA PUTT 2 which is the biggest grosser in India post the pandemic though the figures of East Punjab are unlikely to cross that film as that film also had a near 3 crore total coming before the pandemic.
The collections of QISMAT 2 till date are as follows.
Week One - 10,63,00,000
Friday - 63,00,000
Saturday - 1,09,00,000
Sunday - 1,10,00,000
Second Weekend - 2,82,00,000
TOTAL - 13,45,00,000
Chal Mera Putt 3 collects 1.35 cr on Day 1; Qismat 2 collects 11 cr in 9 days

CHAL MERA PUTT 3 set a post pandemic record for Punjabi films as it collected 1.30-1.35 crore nett across India with East Punjab hitting the 1.15 crore nett mark. It beat the previous record numbers of QISMAT 2 by more than 20%. These numbers came with no advance, no promotion and a trailer which was just released four days before release.
The collections could have been better in the bigger centres especially Chandigarh but the smaller centres were extraordinary and these would have went far higher if there was no 50% cap rule.
The top opening day collections in East Punjab post the pandemic are as follows.
1. Chal Mera Putt 3 - 1,15,00,000
2. Qismat 2 - 93,00,000
3. Chal Mera Putt 2 - 90,00,000
4. Bell Bottom - 46,00,000
5. Puaada - 39,00,0000
QISMAT 2 is a BLOCKBUSTER film as it holds rock steady collections on its second Friday. The film has now crossed the 11 crore nett and is heading to be the highest grossing Punjabi film in India post the pandemic. The film is doing record business (for a Punjabi film) in Delhi city and the second week numbers in Delhi city will be more than BELLBOTTOM despite a much smaller release. The collections in the PVR chain were just 20% less than the new release CHAL MERA PUTT 3 due to Delhi city where PVR has a huge presence.
