PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) had another excellent week as it collected 11.25 crore nett in week four. There was a drop in collections in the fourth week compared to the weeks before but that is because the trend was so strong in the earlier weeks. A 53% drop in week four is still better than normal trend.

The fourth week collections are the best since TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR collected 19.31 crore nett in 2020 and is higher than the SOORYAVANSHI number of 6.48 crore nett. PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) has now crossed the 35 crore nett mark in Mumbai circuit while CP Berar has crossed the 10 crore nett.

The other place where it has done phenomenally well is Odisha (this circuit has a history of South dubbed films doing very well) and it could end up close to the business of SOORYAVANSHI in this circuit and maybe even edge past it.

The worst markets are East Punjab and Delhi NCR but these will struggle to get numbers for films which have that South feel; its the same for Hindi films in this zone. The Delhi/UP number has been helped by good numbers in many centres of UP. The total collections of the film so far are 83 crore nett and it should finish up with a total around the 90 crore nett mark.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) collected 1 crore nett on its fourth Monday which was the first major drop in its run. The film was feeling the heat over the weekend as the growth was not as it should be. This is probably because much of the audience has been consumed which was male youth outside the bigger cities and that too in some regions only.

Still this segment of the audience has loved the film and that is why the collections of the film are 80 crore nett plus for a film which started with such low collections. The drop in collections means fourth week total of around 11.50 crore nett which is still excellent and easily better than the fourth week of SOORYAVANSHI. Maharshtra saw a night curfew from Monday which also dented the film as it has a huge ratio of business coming from Maharashtra.

The drop on Monday means it is out of the race to reach 100 crore nett and will probably have to settle for a figure around the 90 crore nett mark which is also outstanding.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) had another excellent weekend collecting 7.75 crore nett in its fourth weekend. This takes the film to 79.50 crore nett after 24 days. The growth in the fourth weekend was not like the previous weekends as there will be some fatigue and it would have consumed a large chunk of the audience in areas where it has done extraordinary business so far.

Still despite the muted growth in the fourth weekend, it is still only a 50% drop from last week and is on course for another fantastic week. The business in Mumbai circuit has crossed 33 crore nett which is a huge number and in this circuit, which is the biggest for Hindi films, it will be doing more business than '83. The total collections of both films are in the same range now but PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) will go ahead in a day or two.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) looks set to finish around the 100 crore nett mark if cinemas remain open in Maharashtra and Gujarat. As long as these two states keep cinemas open, then PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) can continue to do great business.

The box office is about two films at the opposite ends of the scale and it is likely to remai this way for some time. One film PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) has actually turned out to be the biggest success story post the pandemic in the Hindi markets while the other film '83 (Hindi) joins the ranks of films like BOMBAT VELVET (2015), DRONA (2008) and DEEDAR-E-YAAR (1982) to be among the biggest disasters of all time.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) on its fourth Saturday collected around 2.50 crore nett to take its overall total to 76 crore nett/ The growth is not as much as the last two weeks but that is bound to happen at some point due to the sort of run the film has been on till date. The collections remain superb in most of the places where it is being screened. It is closing on the '83 numbers day after day.

'83 (Hindi) grossed 1.25 crore nett on its third Saturday to take its overall total to 94 crore nett. This film has also not shown growth like last week but due to the low collections its hardly matters if it is 1.25 crore nett or 1.50 crore nett. The film is heading towards 100 crore nett but much will depend on the collections in week four and if 100 crore nett does come, it will have to thank god for small mercies and an open run in a holiday period.

A like for like comparison for the films would be 2.50 crore for PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 and 1 crore nett for '83 on Saturday as the latter has collections from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karntaka and Kerala while the former is hardly being screened in these areas.

PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) is a BLOCKBUSTER and is heading towards the 100 crore nett mark if cinemas in Maharashtra and Gujarat stay open. The film showed no drop from Thursday as it collected around 2-2.25 crore nett to take its total to 73.50 crore nett.

The figures from most circuits look pretty similar to Thursday with Mumbai to come which again should be pretty much in the same range or could even add a few lakhs. It is all about cinemas staying open and if that happens, this film is doing 95 crore nett on a worse case scenario and can easily hit the 100 crore nett mark.

The film has beaten the numbers of '83 in many circuits including Mumbai circuit and barring Delhi/UP, East Punjab and West Bengal it could be ahead of '83 in all of the circuits by the end of its run. The collections of this film in CP Berar are simply remarkable as it could do double digit business in the final run.
