Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have got the world hooked on their whirlwind romance. The duo has fans and media buzzing, every time they set out on a date night around town. On Priyanka’s 36th birthday, Nick kicked off celebrations with an intimate dinner at a sought-after restaurant in London. The actress wore a black top and polka-dotted palazzos for the night while Nick was in a grey T-shirt and military green pants.Taking to Instagram, Priyanka shared a picture of a dessert plate with ‘Happy Birthday Priyanka’ written in chocolate, and captioned it saying, “And it starts!! Yay!”
Pre-birthday celebrations reportedly began on Monday night, when Priyanka and Nick were joined by Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and his fiance Sophie Turner.

In an industry that remains largely male-dominated, Priyanka Chopra is triggering a change of sorts with small but significant steps. After introducing pay parity to create a gender-neutral workforce earlier this year, the actor, on her birthday today, is putting into effect a new set of benefits for the female employees of her studio, Purple Pebble Productions.
Having established herself as a force to reckon with in her field, Priyanka firmly believes that women should not have to compromise on their life choices to achieve professional success. It was this belief that has led her to introduce flexible timings for working mothers and special benefits during maternity leave.
Priyanka's mother and business partner Dr Madhu Chopra says, "Since 80 per cent of our female staff is married, we had to keep their interests in mind. The idea was simple — why should women's life choices become professional hurdles? The policy of flexible timings for mothers was set in place by Priyanka, but fine-tuned by senior members of our company."
Madhu says it is the fierce feminist in Priyanka that makes her want to create an environment where women feel "safe and loved". She adds that besides providing them maternity leave, the company also offers monetary assistance. "We give 12 weeks' maternity leave and financial assistance for care," she says, adding that they are working towards developing an in-house crèche for their employees. Ask her if men enjoy similar benefits and she says, "That's the rule of gender parity. One of our marketing executives took paternity leave of four weeks."

Priyanka Chopra, who turns 36 today, has a special gift from her fans. Says a source, “A group of her fans have come together to support the charity organisations that she is associated with. They have created a GoFund page that goes live today. They are requesting people to donate whatever amount they can. The proceeds will be distributed among the NGOs that the actress works with.” Piggy Chops, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, is pleased with this gesture. Another source close to the heroine tells us, “When the team informed her about it, she was touched. The fundraiser will help many underprivileged kids.”

Priyanka Chopra's 34th birthday in New York. The actress looked radiant
surrounded by her American co-stars and her Hollywood manager-mentor
Anjula Acharia-Bath whom she thanked for her support with a peck on the
cheek. Also present was US-based designer and one of her close friends,
Prabal Gurang, who told PeeCee he was snapchatting her images live. She
blushed and coyly hid behind him.
Just before she had flown out to the US, PeeCee had told Mirror on July 2, that like every other birthday, she'd be shooting on the special day. “I'm returning to living in New York after 20 years. I schooled in the city for a year when I was 14. New York is like Mumbai in many ways, the energy is the same, and with my mom (Madhu Chopra) and brother (Siddharth Chopra) by my side, I won't miss home,“ she'd smiled.
The actress began filming Quantico, which has moved from Montreal to the Big Apple for the second season, on July 5 and will continue shooting till March 2017.
On Saturday, while cutting the cake, PeeCee announced that it was the beginning of her first birthday weekend in the US. By the time she returned home, dawn was breaking and she exclaimed, “As New York awakes, I sleep.“
The next day, bouquets and cakes poured into her American home, but the actress had to take off for a day-long magazine shoot. Her hair was styled and her makeup done by the duo who work with Kim Kardashian (inset), Mario Dedivanovic and Lacy Redway. With her pouty lips, beach waves and facial contouring, the resemblance with the reality TV star was uncanny. “With the stunning birthday girl,“ the stylists cheered, as they completed her look.
PeeCee had admitted to Mirror that this is the best she has ever looked in her life because normally her idea of fashion is bed hair, ripped jeans, a plain ganjee and a jacket!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali hosts surprise bash for Priyanka Chopra at his residence

On Friday night, Sanjay Leela Bhansali organised a surprise party for Priyanka Chopra, the lead actress in his film, Mary Kom. A source says, “Priyanka was in Turkey on her 32nd birthday and she couldn’t celebrate it with her loved ones here, so Bhansali thought of throwing a surprise bash for her. He even invited many actors who have worked with him and Priyanka in the past. Apart from the cast and crew of Mary Kom, Hrithik Roshan and Rekha too were present. This was also like a wrap- up party for the film’s crew.”
When contacted, Bhansali confirmed that he hosted a party for her. “Priyanka’s passion, her fire and the intensity with which she works and acts just makes her sparkle,” he said. The actress’s spokesperson says, “Priyanka had a working birthday this year, so Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to host a party to celebrate the same. This is the first time that the filmmaker has done something like this for one of his actors.”

Priyanka Chopra, who turns 32 today, is currently shooting in Turkey for Zoya Akhtar’s film Dil Dhadkane Do. The actress may shoot in the first half but the film’s crew wants to mark her birthday with a surprise party in the evening. A source says, “Priyanka wanted to spend the day with her family, but since she had already given the film her dates, she didn’t want to delay the shoot. She will have a working birthday in the first half. In the morning, the unit will complete the remaining shoot with Priyanka, whereas she will be greeted with a surprise party later in the day. The crew has already made all arrangements for the same.”
Though Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma have returned to India, actors Ranveer Singh and Anil Kapoor are still in Turkey; they are said to be part of the team that is organising a birthday bash for PeeCee. “There is going to be a double celebration and each crewmember has planned something for the birthday girl. Apart from Priyanka’s birthday, today is also the last day of the film’s outdoor schedule. So this will also be the film’s wrap up party. Priyanka’s brother Siddharth, who had flown down to spend his birthday with the actress, has now decided to stay back to be with her on her special day,” says the source.
