Salman Khan’s relationship with Romanian actress Iulia Vantur has been an open secret for a while and of late, the star does not seem to be making any attempt to hide her presence in his life anymore.

Last week, when Salman returned to Mumbai after wrapping up the shoot of Sultan in Punjab, onlookers were amused to see Iulia walking behind him, holding his mother Salma’s hand. More recently, on Friday night, Salman made an official entry with his girl at actress- producer Preity Zinta’s wedding reception and what’s more, he introduced her to his B- Town colleagues, Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, says an industry source.

The crème de la crème of Bollywood had turned up for the grand bash — Preity made sure that the reception was high on glitz and glamour after a low- key wedding to US- based financial analyst Gene Goodenough in LA on February 29 — However, Salman and Iulia’s join entry was, arguably, the highlight of the evening.

Says a source, “They arrived in different cars — Salman was alone while Iulia came with the actor’s sister, Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri. But they entered the party together, making heads turn.” Later, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star caught up with his friend- turned-foe-turned-best friend Shah Rukh Khan Abhishek Bachchan, reveals a source, adding, “Salman introduced Iulia to SRK and Abhishek. The couple was by each other’s side throughout the party.”

Sallu-Iulia’s adorable togetherness at Preity’s big night sure seems to have added fuel to buzz that the couple is ready to take the plunge.

Mirror had informed that Preity Zinta's husband, Gene Goodenough, was flying down to India with his parents (May 6). They landed in Mumbai a day later and took off for Chandigarh from where Preity proceeded onwards to her hometown, Shimla, with hubby and in-laws to spend the Mother's Day with her mum before arriving in Mohali to catch her boys, the Kings XI Punjab, in action on Monday. PZ is expected to return to the Bay in a day or two, informs her close friend and trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, adding that amidst all the travelling, the actress has been training hard to tone up for her upcoming reception, scheduled for May 13. This is one spirited lady who is not superstitious about Friday the 13th.

"She started working out as soon as she returned to Mumbai. Like any bride, she wants to look her best at the reception. She loves pilates and has been working on toning her arms and legs. There is never a dull moment with her in the gym," Yasmin informed Mirror. Neeraj Pathak, the director of Preity's upcoming film, Bhaiyyaji Superhitt, is eagerly awaiting her return to the sets too. "She is enjoying a well-deserved vacation with her husband and in-laws. We are hoping to resume shoot in about 10-15 days," he said, adding that there are plans to welcome her back to the shoot with a party.

Preity married Gene on February 28 in a hush-hush ceremony in Los Angeles. Guests included Sussanne Khan and Sureily Goel. Gene is a management graduate from LA's Marshall School of Business. He is currently Senior Vice President of NLine Energy Inc., a renewable energy development company in the City of Angels. Preity would often visit the LA since her niece and nephew are settled there and on one of the visits met Gene.

Amid speculation surrounding Preity Zinta’s wedding to her American beau, Gene Goodenough, sources close to the actress reveal that the couple will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, although not by this month-end as widely reported.

Says a source, “Preity and Gene are extremely private people and will get married sometime in March or April this year with her close friends and family flying down to LA. A select few will be part of the ceremony, which will be done up keeping Preity’s personal tastes in mind. So, it promises to be a classy affair.”

While the date is yet to be finalised, the white nuptials in LA will be followed by a big, fat Rajput style wedding in Mumbai with the crème de la crème of the film industry in attendance. “Preity has worked with several industry biggies and continues to remain close friends with them. So, she wants to host a grand celebration in Mumbai where one can expect the who’s who to be part of her big day,” adds the source.
