PATHAAN had superb hold in its fifth week as it collected 8.50 crore nett taking its total over 505 crore nett. The fifth week saw the film dropping under 40% which is the best weekly trend for the film since release. The lower collections and SELFIEE making it like an open week helped.

PATHAAN will beat the numbers of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION as it heads for a total of 510 crore nett plus. The film could even reach 515 crore nett but that will depend on what happens post Holi.

PATHAAN (Hindi) takes its overseas total to $47 million after five weeks and there could be another $500k apprx still to come and a finish which will be around $47.50 million The total in INR is 385 crore till date so it will be a finish of just under 400 crore.

The collections are simply phenomenal all over though the standout is UK, Gulf and other smaller nations across Europe.

Week Two - $9.15 million

Week Three - $3.70 million

Week Four - $1.50 million

Week Five - $0.75 million

The film is now comfortably heading for collections of over 510 crore nett as it will score well over the weekend and with TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR being the only major release in March. It is likely that PATHAAN will continue to be in cinemas in the month of March.

The collections in Delhi/UP have now crossed the 110 crore nett mark while KGF - CHAPTER 2 was 85 crore, RRR was 58 crore and BRAHMASTRA was 50 crore.

PATHAAN (Hindi) worldwide total went to 989 crore in thirty five days as it will become the first film to reach 1000 crore in its original format and language. This is just not for Hindi films but for any film in India as no film has even got close to 1000 crore in its original format.

The overseas numbers look like finishing at at around $47.50 million which should be around 390 crore. The Gross numbers should go to around 620 crore which will mean 1010 crore worldwide finish for the film in Hindi and around 1030 crore in all formats. The overseas benchmarks will take some beating though in India there is still higher potential in many circuits.

PATHAAN collected around 5.50 crore nett ion its fifth weekend adding around 2.25-2.50 crore on the Sunday. This takes the total of the film to over 500 crore nett and its an open weekend this week and PATHAAN will be dominating film as all the other releases of the last few weeks have not done well.

There will be competition on Holi but that will be compensated by the holiday period and its looking a 510-515 crore nett finish for the film. The film has set many benchmarks in many circuits which will be updated late as the film comes to a close. The film is an ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER and it is the 25th all India ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER from the Hindi film industry and this is not counting the three films from South (CHANDRALEKHA, BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2) to achieve this status.

The footfalls of the film will not reach the likes of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and DANGAL but that has a lot to do with how footfalls have seen a big drop post pandemic. The film will cross 3 crore footfalls but that is also down to lower ticket prices since week four which has kept admits high and on normal rates it would not have hit 3 crore.

The national chains were up 115% while outside it was 80-100% growth. The records keep flowing as at the end of this week it will add Bihar where it will become the top grossing film. The film is around 25 lakhs less than KGF - CHAPTER 2 at the moment.

The close of the film is looking 510-515 crore nett and actually there was no issue with BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION holding top spot as it is the best film made in the last twenty years or so but a lot has changed with this pandemic. The has been a lot of negativity for the Hindi film industry with this boycott thing and the media from the South has tried to add fuel to the fire from a different angle as how the Telugu industry is biggest in India.

Much can be written about this but simply put you can only become as big when your language has the reach of Hindi language. You need the Hindi speaking audience to become the biggest industry and while a film or here or there can reach out being dubbed the majority will get no audience especially the regular so called South mass.
