PADMAAVAT had an extraordinary third week with collections of 31 crore nett with a three week total off 255.50 crore nett. The third week collections are the fourth highest of all time behind Bahubali - The Conclusion, DANGAL and PK. This is without Gujarat and Rajasthan with a limited release in Madhya Pradesh as the film reached some centers of that state

PADMAAVAT has non BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION all time records in many cities of Nizam, Marathawada and Maharashtra like Hyderabad, Aurangabad, Latur, Kohlapur etc and the Mumbai and Pune records of PK will go in the next week or so.

PADMAAVAT went up a little on Tuesday as it was a holiday for Mahashivratri at places. The film collected around 3.50 crore nett which has taken the total business of the film to 248.75 crore nett and it will cross 250 crore nett today.

There will be a holiday for Mahashivratri at some places today as well as Valentines Day which should give the film another boost. It already has 24.50 crore nett in five days of the third week and a 30 crore nett third week looks there for the film unless there is major drop on Thursday. If it does get there it will become the fifth film to record a 30 crore nett plus third week.

PADMAAVAT had a very strong hold on its third Monday as it dropped around just 10% to collect in the 3-3.25 crore nett range. The film has now crossed 245 crore nett and should hit 30 crore nett for the second week with the partial holidays over the next few days.

The way this film is going it looks like that it can go to the 275 crore nett mark and in real value that would mean around 375 crore nett and that is with taking a normal ratio for Gujarat and without giving benefit to the Bhansali factor whose films normally do best in Gujarat. Though again this is because of the hype created by the huge controversy. It is not that if the film had released like a normal film all across India it would have done 375-400 crore nett.

PADMAAVAT recorded an excellent third weekend of 17.75 crore nett which has taken the business of the film to 242 crore nett. The drop from last weekend is around 57% which is super strong considering it had competition in the form of a major release like PAD MAN.

The semi holiday period over the weekdays is going to ensure a fantastic third week. There is no doubt this is the most appreciated film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it would have been very interesting what the film would have done without all this controversy and a normal all India release. It looks by the end of the week it will cross the business of TIGER ZINDA HAI in Mumbai/Thane belt and that film was an Xmas release.

The film is not at 234 crore nett and it also started to be screened in some centres of MP though its probably too late to have a real impact but still it will bump up the collections a little.

There are holidays over the weekdays so it will be no surprise if PADMAAVAT has very strong weekday business and could even collect 30 crore nett over the week, It has chances of reaching 275 crore nett which is a crazy number considering the markets not playing. The film is likely to set a new all time lifetime record in Nizam/Andhra today for a Hindi film.
