PK has begun its city promotions and Aamir Khan is very keen to revisit Sambhar Lake Town near Jaipur in Rajasthan, the same spot where he shot the first poster for the film. Khan doesn’t believe in half measures.

Naturally, when it came to shooting for the PK poster, Mr Perfectionist had wanted nothing short of the perfect look in the perfect location. No green screen and VFX for the man. So the production crew had to seek out a place where the actor could shoot in the buff with a limited crew. They finalised Sambhar Lake Town.

The first poster of PK — Aamir in the buff with only a transistor covering his private parts — created a lot of buzz, the actor received a lot of praise for his creativity and also flak for portraying nudity so blatantly. It took the film’s promotional campaign to another level altogether.

Aamir to learn wrestling?
No, he has not suddenly developed an interest in the sport, it’s in preparation for a role he will be seen in next. Aamir may not have any releases in 2015, but the actor has already decided on his next film. Buzz is that he has given his nod to Nitesh Tiwari’s (Bhoothnath Returns) film which is about a wrestler. But not before asking the director to make some changes in the script. The actor will start preparing for the role by building his physique to look like a wrestler and learn the art reportedly in Haryana.

Poster Hit Hai
Up until recently, teasers and trailers of upcoming films captured the imagination of industrywallahs and fans and were well-worn tools of the promotion trade to garner interest in upcoming releases. But that seems to have changed now. Today, the first look posters of films are as awaited as the trailer. Salman Khan revealed the poster of Jai Ho on Twitter, while Shah Rukh Khan posted the poster of his yet-to-be-released Happy New Year on the same website, sending fans into a speculative frenzy.

PC’s punch
Following the trend recently, the first look of Haider was revealed on Twitter. Shahid Kapoor, who plays the title role and has a massive following online, won a lot of appreciation for his look in the movie. The poster had him holding a human skull in an outstretched hand. But the poster that created the maximum buzz was the one that Priyanka Chopra tweeted of her forthcoming movie Mary Kom. Like her ex Shahid, her forthcoming release too has her playing the title role (that of boxer MC Mary Kom). Not just Priyanka’s fans, but many actors including Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha, tweeted about how much they loved the poster.
