Jai Ho collects 101.50 cr in 2 weeks; One By Two 2.77 cr in Week 1

Box Office India Trade Network

JAI HO crossed the 100 crore nett mark in midweek to take its business to around 101.50 crore nett as it crossed around 19.75 crore nett in its second week. The film had a good second week in Uttar Pradesh due to the tax exemption but even with tax exemption collections were less than most of the big films of 2013.

The performance of the film is very weak in West Bengal, where the film was sold for 4.50 crore in the circuit and the lifetime share is looking to be just around 2.50 crore. It was a similar story in Assam and Orissa where due to huge prices paid by the distributors, recovery would not even touch 50%.

The film has a huge reduction of screenings at multiplexes this week and will see a big drop at multiplexes with single screens still doing better as there is no replacement as yet. The lifetime business of the film is looking to be 107-108 crore nett.
-----------------------------
ONE BY TWO had a very poor first week of 2.77 crore nett and is practically out of theatres in week two. The film mainly collected in multiplexes of Mumbai and Delhi NCR with the circuits of Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab contributing around 80% of the all India collections

The first week business is in the same range as the years first release MR JOE B CARVALHO although it was released on just half the screens of that film.

ONE BY TWO lifetime business will be the same as its first week business as the second week contribution will just be a few lakhs.

Jai Ho 95 cr in 10 days; One By Two 1.50 cr in 3 days

JAI HO collected 13.50 crore nett in its second weekend taking its ten day figure to a little over 95 crore nett. The fact that even after ten days it has not yet crossed 100 crore nett is disappointing. The second weekend saw a drop in collections of 75% plus.

The film will have crossed 100 crore by the time the second week is over but it is not sustaining. So a 110 crore nett total looks out of reach and the distributor share will not go much higher than 60 crore nett.

The film showed growth on Saturday and Sunday but the drops in mid week had done the damage as the film ended up with a low second Friday and growth from there was a bit irrelevant for a film with such huge expectations.
--------------------------
ONE BY TWO fared poorly at the box office as it collected a little over 1.50 crore nett over the weekend. The collections were around 50 lakhs each on Friday and Saturday while there was a little jump on Sunday to 55 lakhs approx.

The film is a disaster all over as some circuits hardly had any contributions. Most of the business came from Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab with these three circuits contributing 1.15 crore nett and just 40 lakhs nett coming from the rest of India.

There probably won't be a huge drop on Monday as collections are so low. The film expectedly will be out of most theatres in a week with lifetime business of 2.50 crore nett.

One By Two collects 50 lacs on Day 1; Jai Ho 85 cr in 8 days

ONE BY TWO had a poor first day collecting in the 50 lakhs nett range. The film fared poorly in all circuits with Delhi city and Punjab area recording best collections. The film has mainly been released at multiplexes with around 500 screens but looks set for a poor fate.

Jai Ho (U/A)JAI HO grossed around 3 crore nett on its second Friday which is more than 80% down on last Friday. The total is now around 85 crore nett in eight days and the way the film is going it won't make it to 100 crore before the weekend is out unless collections double up either on Saturday or Sunday.

The film did not take a bumper opening but the the big holiday collections gave it a chance of a good total if it had managed to sustain but that has not been the case.

The second week practically being an open week has not helped much. JAI HO is now looking at a finish of around 110 crore nett which means the lowest Salman Khan grosser in the last three years.

Meanwhile, YAARIYAN will finish with around 30 crore nett business and is an average fare. AVERAGE And, DEDH ISHQIYA will finish with around 24 crore nett business and is a flop. FLOP
