DISHKIYAOON, O TERI and YOUNGISTAAN continued there dismals run on Saturdays. The daily collections are like what medium budget films used to do ten years ago. YOUNGISTAAN saw the best trend on Friday which translated into a bit of growth on Saturday while DISHKIYAOON and O TERI remained more or less where they were on Friday. The approx first two day collections of all three films are as follows.
Dishkiyaoon
Friday - 1,20,00,000
Saturday - 1,10,00,000
Total - 2,30,00,000
O Teri
Friday - 70,00,000
Saturday - 75,00,000
Total - 1,45,00,000
Youngistaan
Friday - 1,05,00,000
Saturday - 1,35,00,000
Total - 2,40,00,000
Dishkiyaoon-O Teri-Youngistaan poor on Day 1; worst Friday ever

The new releases all did poor business on its first day and have nothing going for them. They may grow a little over the weekend but it will make no difference to their fates. All three films are big losers especially DISHKIYAOON which may have had the best collections but was also the costliest of the lot.
The approx first day estimates of the three films were as follows.
DISHKIYAOON 1.15-1.25 crore nett
YOUNGISTAAN 1-1.10 crore nett
O TERI 65-70 lakhs nett
--------------------------
This Friday can lay claim to the worst Friday ever as three new films released which have a combined cost of around 75 crore to produce and release and the first day was a total disaster for that sort of investment.
The three new releases DISHKIYAOON, O TERI and YOUNGISTAAN all had such low openings that the combined opening day total will not even be 5 crore nett.
Its unlikely there has ever been a Friday where there is a 75 crore investment and the first day share for the producers/distributors is a horrid 2 crore at best from the domestic theatres. It does not get any better for the exhibitors who have allocated nearly 3500 screens for these three films and they will also see a 2 crore share at best. and it's this sector which has been bleeding over the last few months due to the drop in footfalls as caused by the lack of major releases.
