Speculations have been rife ever since the news of Mona Singh’s impending wedding surfaced in the media. The actress has managed to keep the details regarding the man-in-question and her big day under wraps. We have now learnt that Mona is all set to tie the knot on December 27 in Mumbai. Apparently, the groom-to-be, Shyam, is a South Indian investment banker. Her wedding will be a close-knit affair with a handful of her industry friends, including bestie Gaurav Gera, Rajesh Khera and Rakshanda Khan, attending the do. The actress recently had a bachelorette party in Goa.

A source informs BT, “Mona doesn’t want any undue attention on her big day. Only those extremely close to her have been invited to the wedding. A pre-wedding party will be hosted on December 26.”

Almost 16 years after she became a household name as the plain Jane Jasmeet Walia aka Jassi, who undergoes a makeover later on in the telly soap Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Mona Singh is all set to tie the knot. Mirror has learnt that the 38-year-old actress is marrying an investment banker from down South.

Mona was last seen on television in the 2016 supernatural drama, Kavach…Kali Shaktiyon Se. More recently, she has been shooting for another Ekta Kapoor show, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, a love triangle which also features Ronit Roy and Gurdeep Kohli and is in its third season. Even though she chose to stay mum on the subject of her nuptials these last few months, despite rumours flying thick and fast, a source reveals that the actress approached the makers of her show recently, requesting them to tweak the schedule in order to accommodate her plans.

“The producers were happy to oblige and pushed her schedule up, shooting all of Mona’s portions together, so she could take off for her big day. She will wrap up her scenes in 25 days, with December 14 being her last day on set,” informed the source, adding that her track, as one of the three protagonists, has not been changed or edited, only the production put on the fast track.

Mona has never discussed her personal life and this time too, she has been extremely secretive with even the name of her groom-to-be remaining a tightly-guarded secret. When we reached out to her, she read our text messages but chose not to reply. She also did not answer any of our calls.
