The releases of last week MIRZYA, TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA and MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART have all fared poorly. The main release MIRZYA is a huge disaster and is looking at lifetime collections of just 10 crore nett apprx as a huge drop is coming even though the new competition is weak. The film had a poor theatrical but collections on day one were still shocking even though the theatrical made little impact. It was a downhill story after that as second day dropped even though it was a multiplex film. The first week collections of the three releases are as follows
Mirzya - 8,50,00,000
Tutak Tutuk Tutiya - 2,50,00,000
MSG - The Warrior Lionheart - 5,75,00,000
TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA was probably the film with best reports of the all films released last week but with no face value and little attraction for the masses the film just went unnoticed.
MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART had some collections in East Punjab, Delhi/UP and Rajasthan but at most theatres is was mainly on bulk bookings pre release.
Mirzya collects 6 cr in 4 days; Tutak Tutak Tutiya 1.60 cr; MSG The Warrior - Lion Heart 3.75 cr

MIRZYA continued its disastrous run on Monday with collections of 1 crore nett apprx. The weekend was so low that eventually there is a limit to where the film can drop to and the fact it is a holiday today helped collections in the evening. There is a holiday today for Dusshera and on Wednesday for Muharram and so the film can hold at these levels for two more days. The first week collections will be around 8.75 crore nett but after that it is unlikely to get much of a run even in the face of weak competition. The collections of MIRZYA for four days are as follows.
Friday - 1,75,00,000
Saturday - 1,50,00,000
Sunday - 1,75,00,000
Monday - 1,00,00,000
TOTAL - 6,00,00,000
TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA is looking to finish the first week with around 2.25-2.50 crore nett business. The first four day collections of TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA are as follows
Friday - 40,00,000
Saturday - 55,00,000
Sunday - 65,00,000
Monday - 25,00,000
TOTAL - 1,60,00,000
MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART will gross around 5.50 crore nett week in week one with over 50% of the collections coming from East Punjab especially the Hryana side of the belt. The first four day collection of MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART is as follows.
Friday - 1,00,00,000
Saturday - 1,00,00,000
Sunday - 1,15,00,000
Monday - 60,00,000
TOTAL - 3,75,00,000
Mirzya collects 5 cr in 3 days; Tutak Tutak Tutiya 1.60 cr; MSG The Warrior - Lion Heart 3.15 cr

MIRZYA is the biggest disaster of 2016 surpassing films like FITOOR and MOHENJO DARO. The collections of the film are just 5 crore nett over the weekend. The film is among the top ten of 2016 in terms of cost but its weekend collections can't even find a place in the top 30. The film is probably vying with BOMBAY VELVET as the second biggest disaster of all time. BROKEN HORSES retains top spot as far as biggest disasters goes and it will take some beating. The collections of MIRZYA for the weekend are as follows.
Friday - 1,75,00,000
Saturday - 1,50,00,000
Sunday - 1,75,00,000
TOTAL - 5,00,00,000
TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA is also a dull performer though had the best trend of all the new releases. The first weekend collections of TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA are as follows
Friday - 40,00,000
Saturday - 55,00,000
Sunday - 65,00,000
TOTAL - 1,60,00,000
MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART is also a disaster. The franchise has seen three films all grossing around the 10 crore nett range and this will probably be similar as going by history of first two films, the bulk bookings will continue for sometime.
Friday - 1,00,00,000
Saturday - 1,00,00,000
Sunday - 1,15,00,000
TOTAL - 3,15,00,000
Mirzya collects 3.25 cr in 2 days; Tutak Tutak Tutiya 90 lacs; MSG The Warrior - Lion Heart 2 cr

MIRZYA is a huge disaster. The collections could not even manage to grow on day two and the film will suffer losses of huge magnitude. The satellite may have been pre sold which will hedge some of the losses for the producer but the holder of satellite rights will lose a big chunk of the investment. The collections on Monday are likely to be scary as a drop on Saturday for a multiplex film is a shocker. The collections of MIRZYA for the first two days are as follows.
Friday - 1,75,00,000
Saturday - 1,50,00,000
TOTAL - 3,25,00,000
TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA was the only release of the week to have some growth on Saturday but collections are far too low. The first two day collections of TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA are as follows
Friday - 40,00,000
Saturday - 50,00,000
TOTAL - 90,00,000
MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART was flat on day two. The weekend collections will be better than the last film of this franchise but lower than the first which had a huge amount of paid bookings especially at the PVR chain.
Friday - 1,00,00,000
Saturday - 1,00,00,000
TOTAL - 2,00,00,000
Day 1: Mirzya 1.75 cr; Tutak Tutak Tutiya 45 lacs; MSG The Warrior - Lion Heart 1.25 cr

MIRZYA had a very dull first day recording collections in the 1.50-1.75 crore nett range. The opening was dull but you expect these type of content films to grow in the evening as the morning crowd will not be there for this type of film. Here it seems that the evening crowd has also not turned up for the film because it does not take much improvement from early evening onwards to change a 2 crore nett looking day into 3 crore nett. The North which should have done better has not really come out as they have probably taken it as a art film due to the theatrical trailer. The Saturday multiplex crowd should give it growth on Saturday but even if we assume it somehow gets 60-70% growth which day one trend does not suggest it is still not going anywhere.
The collections of MIRZYA on day one are in the range of much smaller films like MADAARI and FREAKY ALI. The director's last film BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG had a bigger opening day figure in Delhi/UP than MIRZYA across India. Even BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG did not open strongly in the morning though made big strides from afternoon shows onwards.
TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA was also very poor with collections around 40-45 lakhs nett on day one and again there is not much the film can do unless Monday is double of Friday which does not happen in this era.
MSG THE WARRIOR - LION HEART also grossed around 1-1.25 crore nett but a lot of this was bulk bookings prior to release and like the previous films it will have a run in the North due to these bookings but its hard to tell whether the groups doing the bookings are actually turning up to theatres.
