MALAAL collected very poorly in the first week with just 2.75 crore nett. Similar films like LOVEYATRI and NOTEBOOK were 11.14 crore nett and 3.91 crore nett in their respective first weeks. Also most of the 2.75 crore nett for MALAAL has come from Mumbai circuit due to a very Maharashtra feel to the film while other areas hardly have any footfalls.
ARTICLE 15 has had a steady second week as it collected around 18 crore nett. The drop is under 50% from the first week and this is good considering it probably lost around 1 crore nett due to the cricket. The film has collected 52 crore nett apprx so far and looks set to be a HIT as long as the third week does not drop heavily.
ARTICLE 15 should comfortably cross the 60 crore nett from this position.
The collections of ARTICLE 15 till date are as follows.
Week One - 33,74,00,000
Friday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 5,25,00,000 apprx

ARTICLE 15 continues to be steady at the box office as it added another 2 crore nett on its second Monday to take its total to 47.50 crore nett. The second week numbers look to be in the 18-19 crore nett range depending on what happens today (Tuesday) as there is the big cricket match with India playing in the semi finals.

Week One - 33,74,00,000

ARTICLE 15 recorded a good second weekend with figures around 11.75 crore nett which is a just a little over 40% down from the first weekend. The ten day figures are almost 46 crore nett and the film should emerge a HIT film although it has to get over the hurdle of a possibility of two big cricket matches.
The collections of ARTICLE 15 till date are as follows.
Week One - 33,74,00,000
Friday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 11,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 45,49,00,000 apprx
MALAAL had a very dull weekend of 1.75 crore nett apprx and the first day basically sealed its fate. There was some growth on Sunday but with Saturday not really going up the Sunday growth hardly mattered. The collections for the film are mainly from Mumbai circuit while in North there was no audience for this film.
The collections of MALAAL for the first three days are as follows.
Friday - 45,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,70,00,000 apprx

MALAAL is a disaster with collections of 45-50 lakhs nett on day one. The collections of this film are lower than the likes of LOVEYATRI and NOTEBOOK released in October 2018 and March 2019 respectively which were similar films with newcomers.
There is no hope for this film as the collections are too low for the release size of this film. Even here most of the collections of have come from Mumbai circuit with practically no audience in other circuits. The other release, ONE DAY, hardly had a release which means it hardly had any collections.
ARTICLE 15 is steady as it collected 2.25 crore nett on its second Friday. The film is down juts 50% apprx from the first day and the chances are that it could be at 50 crore nett plus after two weeks. The film has collected 36.25 crore nett in 8 days and is set to emerge a HIT film.
The collections of ARTICLE 15 till date are as follows.
Friday - 4,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 7,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
Week One - 34,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 36,25,00,000 apprx
